Yep. All of the photos are from Saturday, I was too excited on Friday to remember my camera.

As for the pink bimmer, you'd be amazed how well it ran (notice the full cage) and some of the cars it kept up with.

Do you have to be a member to race on that track?

I mean it looks like a great place to have some real fun, but $7000 is kinda steep for the average joe if you need to be a member to use the facilities.

I checked there website a bunch though the place is sweet!-
im gonna have to check it out someday.

What place did you get or was it a points race?

Kinda went out on a limb and i ordered a set of Falken Azenis RT-615's , From Discount tire.

I was going to get was you recommended Sleeper3 but the tire shop guy said these are great tires plus i've read some good reviews on these and their a good price. That and they couldent locate the Bridgestones? hell maybe i gave him the wrong numbers, anyways...

Wont get them for a few days, but ill post up on how good they grip on the
dry/wet roads compared to the Advan's.

Azenis are a good choice, you should have no regrets. It's a great autox tire and priced well.

Discount Tire does not carry the RE-01R so that's why they couldn't locate it for you.

You either have to be a member or use an a la carte option at www.turnonetrackevents.com. It's not too bad of a price, just depends on the number of days that you want to track. Heck, we could do a club day if enough people are interested.

As for the club, it is less heads up racing and more of an attack at your own speed. Obviously, certain people can take it a bit further.

A certain Porsche wouldn't let me pass later in day 2 (I had started taking semi-decent lines, picked up speed and had him in all corners) and seeing that I was running DE (only very limited passing allowed), I just slowed down, gave him a few turns of space and worked on my apexes. One lap of the slower speed really cleaned up my lines and entry points (still horrible, but that's what Forza's for, right?) All in all it's a rather laid back group with no one acting too aggressive. Now Super-Solos are a bit different. They basically heads up race (without official timers as that would negate your normal auto insurance) with full cages, nets and the such.

Really great fun and reminded me that we should hit up Victory Lane (or some similar kart track) for one of the Evo meetups.

Anyone running R compounds? Seeing as neither tire is that expensive, I'm trying to decide between the NT01 and RA-1.

I might just have to pick up some wide wheels too. Suggestions? (light and simple design)

Ya after seeing them the tread pattern looked kinda like it would be weak on wet surfaces.

Damn Sleeper that was a blast, met some cool people. Didnt get to talk with everyone i would have liked too but i learn a good deal from those i talked with.

So yea my best time ended up being 30.1 clean, it was my last run too! i took tonys advice about the 180 turn on where to brake and sure enough it helped me shave like 2 seconds off.

More or less i got better each run though i did get a few 31's repeatedly, then i tryed the left foot braking, stayed in second & tonys 180 turn tip and got even lower.

But DAMN man that was fun im so getting into this! Like i said though wont beable to make it tomarrow, but if i wake up at a decsent time i may come watch.

Either way good luck to you both kick some ***!!!
Thanks for your advice today man it helped, same with tony tell him his tip help me hit a 30.1!

Alright send me that info you were talking about, i'll be at the knights event forsure. Gonna look into getting a membership this week

DAMN THAT WAS FUN!!!

Only $39.99 for the same exact helmet I have, which you tried today and it fit great. Mine is the XL size, I would order it quick, not sure how many they have left.

You cant beat that price, ordered one lastnight.

So whats up with the april 20th charity event at knights?
hows that work, i know its not a points race but what all goes on there, will there be track time lets say 12-hours of it?

So anyone got any idea for the next Evo meet, i think 996's idea was good. anyone else have thoughts about where and when?
