$600 is a bit high.... I can think of several "needs" I could buy for $600 bucks. Sounds fun, but I will have to pass. Post pics if you all go.

Well, if you divide the track rental by 10 the cost to each person is not too bad.... Anyway, if there is interest I'll arrange it. The nice thing about a track day is that one can play relatively safely. It's totally legal to go fast in a track and it's even feasible to do a bit of learning, etc.

I'm interested in the track day for sure, but I want to get to a driving school first and see about that catback you were talking about and a forge DV.

BTW Mike, Mike and Manuel It was good hanging out with you guys... very memorable day.... I still get a big grin and a little shaky thinking about some of those roads.

I don't know about you guys but I was picking ***** of rubber off the inside edges of the tread blocks when I got home that night!!

Good idea about that driving school.... Goodness knows i need it . Yeah, it was super hanging out Sat. Really enjoyable. All in all a very pleasurable saturday afternoon drive
The guys that make my exhaust are http://www.vrsexhaust.com. Go to their page to get their phone number or email. Contact Miguel Villar (the son) or Jeff. They'll fix you right up, tell them you want a set up like mine.
I'm also thinking about the forge motorsports BOV too... I just want to first finish all the stuff I've got to do. BTW, we did finish a working prototype of the gauge pod that I told you guys about. It goes where the radio goes. Check out the pictures in the CF gauge pod progress thread in the installations forum.

Later...

Hey all,
Saturday was excellent. That is the best run I have had. It was incredible seeing a line of Evos go through the turns.
We need to do that again. A driving school would be fun. What about the NASA driving events at places like VIR (Virginia International Raceway). I know that they host events for BMWs, Mazdas, etc. They are driving schools sponsered by these clubs, but open to all cars.
I know they are under 300 bucks.
Something we can look in to.
Manuel , thanks for posting the pictures.

You are welcome. I wish I'd set my camera better, but those pictures are better than nothing

I'd love to go for one of the NASA events.... I'd just have to juggle my schedules (kind of hard to do sometimes..)

We could go out in a group again... Maybe do the earlier meet and go into NC and TN..??

Another run sounds like a good idea. I am interested in going to Deals Gap area, though the cops are thick there.
Lets get another thread going and see if we can get some more Evos.

Sorry for the late response been out of town and busy with work. I had an awesome time Saturday also and cant wait to get up their again but as SilverEvo said maybe a little earlier. Oh and I have some of my pic's I can e-mail you Manuel so you can post, just a few are different than what you took I have a few of the trip around the Mountain with one hand as I was driving. Call me or pm me with your e-mail address. Would love to go to the track but unsure as to the cost was it $600.00 per person for the day or $600 for the track then the amount to be split by however many people get to go. (ie) 6 people =$100.00 buck each. Let me know.

Thats' great about the pictures. I'll PM you with a email.... I'm glad you enjoyed the outing as well as I did .... Those track days are kind of hard to set up. Generally the track rents by the day and they have a limit of cars that can attend (I believe it's 10 cars). The track fee used to be $600 per day, but it's a lot more now I think. Still, even if it's $1200 per day, it's only $120 per person for the whole day.... That's a lot of track time...

Hey Tim. Yes, the Red Evo is Mike. How are things going with the SRT-4?
Check out the post about the autocross class. It is at Turner field, and costs about 50 bucks. You get a lot of seat time. The last time I went, I was with some RSXes. It was a good time. Plus, they time each run so you can use your times to improve your driving or give other SRT-4s or Evos a hard time.
The school is on August 27th.

Cool, Mike lives in my Apartment complex, haha. I'll have to get with him next time you guys plan a meet. I was actually planning on heading out to Turner Field on August 10th, but just to watch, I love racing, any kind any where, lol.

Mike- definate improvement over the RSX dude. Not that the RSX was a bad ride, but this one is better IMO.

Yeah, I might be there. I often come to spectate. Doubt I will race though. I hate getting up so early. Alot of times, the racers have to be there at 7 or 8am. I rather just come and go whenever....
