We are not concerned with starting a controversial wind speed measurement thread. We can reserve that test for Buschur or anyone else who wants to spend their time on something like that.

Our objectives are that coolant temps and rise speed during a pull on the dyno correctly represent the speed in which this happens on the street and the same for the FMIC-IAT measurements.

This Single Eddy Brake dynamometer will correctly load the vehicle for aerodynamic drag from wind as well as vehicle weight. Air velocity is it not critical if the coolant temps and FMIC efficiency remain the same as if the car was on the street.

We are currently engineering a rack to house the fans as well as a proprietary system designed to complement the air movers to insure fmic and radiator temps remain simlulated to testing the vehicle on the street.

Putting aside web cams and entertainment factor having a dyno in the facility allows the shop to immediately compare tune or instilled parts using scientific methods. The shop quickly turns into efficient RND facility. They will spend a lot of time on the dyno but are way ahead of doormroom dot coms selling ebay parts claiming a loon pipe will give 20+ extra HP. Congrats TTP! We are excited for you. The dyno is a big investment, which benefits entire EVO community here and puts you even more ahead of other want to be tooners.
