Yeah it looked more like a 35rish tune due to the timing up top... and at peak torque. I don't get to see the car very often, but I already PMd you what I had seen previosuly. I will get try and get with JK this weekend so we can check the timing and the CAS. Thanks for the info Scooter
Phenix is Ph3n1x, the prior owner of JK's new 05. He wanted me to retune it on the new engine after we built it but I never got around to it. I think I threw on a non methanol basemap or something just to drive around on until he was ready to mess with it himself. I did not charge for that since we were doing the engine build.
Vega, based on still*boostin's post history is a guy named Joshua Vega.
I am fairly certain I used to tune both of their cars. Phenix started playing with his own car after a number of sessions of holding the laptop shotgun while I was driving and tuning.
I swear that Vega name sounds strikingly familiar. I should run a search on my reflash history. I have 5 years of customer reflashes archived on 3 hard drives.

LOL SCOTT you and your high horse, just to clarify it was the little ECU flash forum we have and all use to make money that I got my knowledge from.
You did give some good pointers once on tuning meth when it first came out....
No one can penetrate that security force field around your personality man. LOL

The idle was left from the Kelford 272's that were in there and for the fact of Tial VTA BOV
Probably not mine then. I use 7* max at idle. It must have been the HTA86 35R map he had in there before we built the engine. When I broke in the engine on IX turbo I never exceeded WG pressure.
Look over the cams job Freddy. We installed Kelfords in there but he sold them before the car sold and put back in stockers himself. Since he is not a pro mechanic, I would doublecheck the work to make sure everything is back to spec and the CAS does not leak.
It's a Manley Ibeam on CP pistons build, race bearings, AMS concentric race shaft, new front case and oil pump. ARP mains, ARP headstuds, line bored mains etc. 100% perfect. Take care of it with good oil and it has huge potential for big power.

Aside from that, the engine is ROCK SOLID from TTP.

No Clue, like I said I don't really see Aron too much as he works at Mayport, I work at Jax. I haven't even ridden in the car, or logged it at WOT. The tune just looked differenet for stock cams and stock turbo, however depending on how much boost is being ran then that timing should be fine. I ran 27 psi on 92oct so I am used to seeing a bit lower timing.

I appoligize, wasn't 14 at idle it was 8, I was thinking of another map I looked at recently in the ecuflash forum, again my appoligies. I am not hear to start pissing matches or knock anyones tuning style. I was pointing out that what I have seen, and the way that I would tune, it looked as if the map was set up for someting with higher VE than stock cams and stock turbo. However I prefer to run higher boost hence lower timing, depending on how the car reacts. I didn't log the car so I can't comment on the reliability of the tune, or how much boost the car is running at the moment. Also I may come off as abrasive or as a ********, but I assure you I am neither. I am looking out for a fellow Sailor, and I am trying to figure out where the car stands so we can ge JK squared away.

Understandable... can you tell me exactly what happened with the engine bay? The harness has been retaped exrensively and some of the hoses have blisters on them. I heard there was a meth fire, but I would love for you to elaborate a bit more, to ease my mind...
Ernie threw on a base tune right after the Red install when I was in Oregon with him for Thanksgiving. As soon as I got here I retuned it at Titan. When I got on the dyno it put down 377 as the tune sat. When I left it was at 417, same boost... Nikki can verify that
We installed the red on my car about 2 weeks before I drove down here...
What would you be trying to insinuate with that statement Scooter? That I ride Erics coat tails... I hope not. He and I are very very good friends and helped each other out a lot when I lived in WA. We still talk on the phone about once a week, to discuss "strategy"...

2 Years ago the meth line popped out and caused a brief flash fire. It didnt damage any wires just the plastic insulation. I extensively reinsulated the entire harness. I even bought a whole new harness but it never was needed.

I posted it in the dyno section, like I said a base tune when we went to oregon, quick and dirty to get AFRs close, and Timing close. We had our girlfriends waiting... After that, when I was stuck in Indiana for a week and a half on the drive out I smoothed the map, but didn't flash the car. As soon as I got to Jax I flashed the car and did some rips to get afrs in check. A few weeks later after I was all moved in and had time I scheduled dyno time at Titan, drove down, tuned the car for 2 hours and drove back up. I tried to call you that day to see if I could use your dyno remember...

I never really beat on any of my cars. I do get on it occasionally and or race something every once in awhile. I always do pulls looking at the wideband. That's why Scott's tune was perfect on the 03. 11.5AFR from the beginning to the end of the pull. Oh and I heard a base tuned, stock turbo, stock cammed EVO beat a bolton GTO. That's just what I heard though.

and 11.5 AFRS? Guess I like to be safer.. mine closest goes is 11.3
