What a frigin nightmare this car is becoming... it is seriously like a beat down DSM. I feel sorry for you Aron.

BTW does that car have a MAF-t or was that the wrecked one? I am still trying to figure out why it would not take V7...

Seems to be starting up fine now. I know the battery in the trunk and the fact that it's a Walmart battery doesnt help. I just think it was too low. Also after work I need to do some pulls on Wonderwood adjusting the boost and gain on this with the MAF-T. I thought you knew about the PRO for the boost, gain, and map switching. We just might just have to figure this one out over the weekend but I do have duty.

I have duty too... I am telling you there is no reason that you need a MAF-t for your car... That is most likely why there was issues switching to V7. You get map switching with V7 anyway via the gas peddle.

Well I messed with the translator on my way to chow off base and it seemed to pick up alot better just more than usual knock. I'll try and log a little tomorrow before I go to work tomorrow and see what's going on. And I guess I could just use my Hallman and get rid of the crap.

Correct... MAF-T FTL. You can log boost if you get an EVO X map sensor ($75) or Omni 4 bar sensor...

you cant put v7 on your car probly because you have an 05 evo which has historically had issues accepting modded roms. only the 05 ecu has this issue, they identified that it's rom is nearly full with data (unlike the other roms which have alot of extra space). but whatever code was contained in the extra area was somehow needed or a portion of it at least. most people were flashing 05s with a European rom. i am familiar with this process and it needs special care i will go through some of my old files and see what i can dig up

Please do not post false information...

I have an 05 and have converted to 96530706 V7 sucessfully with no issues. I changed a few things to my liking and it runs perfectly.

About the 05 rom not having room, that is for tehpra mods only, not a new rom id.

I am on the up and up with the conversion, however I believe the MAF-t is jacking with the settings of the car... and IMHO there is no reason for it to be on the car since you can log boost with an EVO X sensor or Omni 4 bar, and you can do map switching with the V7, and he already has a hallman waiting for boost control...

John keep his hallman around, if Aron decides to loose the MAF-t we will need it for boost control...

This is not exactly true. I've run a ton of different ROMs in several 05's with NO issues. I currently run V7 96350706 in my own personal 05 Evo. My orignial ROM was 96940011 which i stopped using about 2 years ago(when support for this ROM stopped).

If anybody needs any tuning or flashing help, let me know. I'm a former dyno tuner, some of you may know me. I stopped dyno tuning when i became a professional bassist and no longer had time to tune. But, i'm in town for a bit. Hit me up if you need anything.

I will tune for parts and help installing them...haha. Not looking to make any money in this game anymore, i got out of that a long time ago. I do it for the love now(and occasionally parts/install).

Word.

To the guy running a MAF-T, there is really no need for that. I would log boost with a JDM 3bar or the EvoX MAP sensor(same part #), tune and call it a day.

The stock ECU is fully capable of doing what you need it to do, in the correct hands.
