I know I can vouch for the act 6 puck and so can a couple other members on here. While its engagement can be a bit chattery it shifts sooo smooth

Capone/Dave. He doesnt really get on here too much. And the ACT I can vouch for too. I shift way too fast with it and pop the rear every time. Ha.

 

I can also say the ACT is a really good clutch. Ive been running a ACT2600 with 6 puck and Alum Fly, and was pushing 400+/400+ to the wheel and clutch had about 30K on it and still spun the Bf Goods KDW2's from a dig.

 

oh snap oh snap! What turbo are we planning on running? How much longer you got in the Navy BTW? im thinking about reenlisting just to get the bonus to drop more in my evo and talon. But kinda over being in the Marines. Navy has to be skate as hell.

I have a little over 3 1/2 years left since I already reenlisted this last cruise and it is definitely not a cake walk. I got off of work at 0030 and had to be on watch at 0730 after 3 hours of sleep and the watch was a working one. This is definitely going to be a 12hour sleep day hopefully. And the BLACK. The turbo should be shipped off hopefully before I go on the boat next week if I dont have to work this weekend. ****ing H60's man I tell you.

I wouldn't say that. There's a give and a take. Well ok. There's a lot of giving and a little taking. Work hard. Almost all holidays off. Duty weekends. See the world/drinking around the world. Stress. 2.5 days leave every month. And always a paycheck unless somebody messes up.

 

guess it depends what youre doing. its honestly a different experience at different commands. i used to listen to guys on other ships *****, but when i told them about how bad our boat was, they shut up quick. i did my six, got out, and never looked back. as bad as deployments sucked, the pay was nice. but not worth it. i make more now and i get to come home every single night and dont work a minute of overtime without getting paid for it. so IMO, FTN

 

Yeah. That's where I'm at right now. I would like to get out and do a tech school possibly Orlando but I really want to buy a house and getting out would make that a lot harder.

no the car is fine. i think he put a PT6765 turbo kit on it and he still has a stock engine. He has a built 2.3 and head going in soon but they are trying to break records with the stock engine.
