Raleigh/Durham/Triangle Area Meet
those modular motors are def a true bad *** design. They are prolly the easiest thing to get 500whp out of that has come out in the past couple years. Obviously getting it to the ground is hard but damn there HAS to be around 15-20 modular cars in the triangle area alone with well over 800whp
I'm eyeballing a FFR hotrod build for next years power tour and right now that motors in the top two(pending seeing how much I can get it for
)
yea i have seen a ton of guys do the swap into older mustangs. Seen a few local fox bodies with the swap that is cool as hell. I need to get off my butt and get to work on my chevelle sometime too. My Dad keeps saying he wants to go on the power tour as well before he kicks the bucket.
I wish my father were into cars so I could do it with him, if yours is into them you've got a great opportunity you won have 30 years from now, take it!
It's an awesome time, even if you only do a few legs. I'm not sure what path it's going to take next year, but since it's ending in Detroit and we just went through the Midwest this year down to Mobile, AL, I suspect it's either going to start further west or will go up the east coast. I've written HotRod regarding this, but I hope if they pass any mil bases/towns they make that one of the stops.

As far as swap go ls1/2 etc. are awesome in fox bodies, buddy of mine in greensboro just finished building a true 88mm turbo street car that will be competing in 275x class. Made 1,573 hp SAE correct through a power glide.
Where are ya meeting at? and what time.
