Raleigh/Durham/Triangle Area Meet
what about the next weekend? May 26th? we should move this so damn near everyone can come out...there have been lots of small meets but nothing quite like the one we had at performance chasis when I first got my car in 08 or early 09 (so far back I can't remember). It would be awesome to get a huge gathering again.

Another possibility would be to schedule the Evo meet/cookout immediately following one of the Cars-and-Coffee meets. We could go to C&C with a nice Evo representation, then caravan over to your place for the festivities...
Of course, a lot of guys on here seem to have trouble with Saturday meets, so maybe that's not such a good idea.

I feel the same way about Raleigh compared to Atlanta. There is so many modified cars in Atlanta (and Toronto where I'm from).
Raleigh is smaller population wise so there is not as much of the same thing as there is in Atlanta.

I was up in the Arlington/DC area a couple of weeks ago, and I saw enough Subaru STis and WRXs to put together a MASSIVE meet...and that was only being in town for three days. How many Evos did I see? Zero.
As a matter of fact, in my entire trip (6 days, out to NC coast, up to DC, back to NC coast, back to Raleigh) I saw a total of 2 Evos, both Xs. I saw more late-model Pontiac GTOs than that.
Dan's right...it's nice to have a car that's not on every street corner. But I do kinda' miss the old days when I had my Civic and would see Evos almost on a daily basis...
Damn Ali, that's a blast from the past! haha
We made it back from the dragon in one piece. Had a blast again and got to meet some members from GA and SC. Had 9 evo's there I think. Pics to follow I'm sure

I remember the feeling i used to get when i saw an evo.
I still get that feeling.
I think i just knew alot of the Evo owners in Atlanta but if i think about it.......I dont see much evo viii's/ix's anywhere.

The difference is the demographics, gents.
Evo's are not cheap cars to own, modify, or even maintain. You're not going to see them like Honda Civics, which are the complete opposite, cheap to own, mod, and maintain.
However, go to the track. People who run on tracks generally can afford it, or have sponsorships. THATs where you'll find all the EVOs, and rightfully so, too!

ps - I wish we could wait one more month on the summer BBQ! FFP should be done with my car (once I quit telling them to add stuff!) sometime at the end of May or June.
Get it done Nick! Everytime I make my way out to FFP I see it sitting there and wonder why its not on the road. She looks sexy with all that C/F as well.
