Raleigh/Durham/Triangle Area Meet
That's why C&C was so good when it was at Brier Creek. We could go out there as a family, and when the wife and kids got bored, they could just go shop around at the various stores.
Unfortunately, the caustic mix of testosterone, horsepower, and immaturity got the show kicked out of there, as has happened at venues since. Hopefully people will continue conduct themselves with decorum at the Raleigh Grande show, and it can stay there a long time...

I can get behind this. The only problem is, most people in here can't seem to make it to C&C early enough to park together. Not sure if everyone works nights, or people just don't care.
The past two C&Cs I've been to, it's just been Rodney and I with the occasional straggler... I miss the old days when we'd have several Evos all lined up, and could give the Subie, S2K, and Bimmer crowd a run for their money...

One of my new years resolutions is getting out to these things more often. The 2 I went to kinda sucked in terms of Evo representation. I've been complaining about the lack of car culture in Raleigh compared to Atlanta. I will try to get out more. Maybe even attend a Thursday meet somewhere. Cars been at the shop since last year June. Probably won't get it back until February.
^^You're not wrong, Smurf. Evo representation has been sucking around here for a long time. A lot of people have moved on from their Evos, and the ones that still have them just can't seem to come out to a scheduled event. I mean, at the last C&C I went to, there were more Supras than Evos...
Actually, I dare say that the Evo has the worst representation out of all cars at C&C, save for the high-priced exotics. It doesn't help that those who do show up get there 1 to 1 1/2 hours after the show starts, so they have to park out in the sticks among random cars out on the perimeter. We never even meet them because by the time we see their Evo, they're off looking at the other cars at the show, so we usually never connect.
C&C fills up fast, so if we ever do want to bring the Evo back to life at the show, we need to get there 8AMish, or shortly thereafter...

Assuming I get my car back this month I will make it a point to get out there early. Maybe meet up with some of you earlier so we can have better representation. If the car isnt ready by the fist sat in Feb then March for sure.
lol those were the days Ali. Back when I had my stupid 08 pink tails. I'm definitely game for an early meet offsite and cruise to C&C. I can also post up in evox so we can get some of those guys who never come out anymore to get their asses up and out for a meet. Like I said I'm ready for a meet like the good ol days. Especially now that the evo is in its twilight years...

I had my kids and 2 of my son's friends in my wife's forester as we headed to a bowling alley across the street from NC State and came across a black Evo with Ohio plates and Evo 7 tails (Or just 8 tails painted red) and white wheels.
You were kinda being a bit of a DBag. I gave you the head nod and waved hi (hoping to both give you props for your evo since it has been at least 5 months since I've seen one and also to let you know I didnt feel like being macho since I had someone elses children in the car and didnt want to risk precious cargo)..........why you felt the the need to show me how fast your Evo was in comparison to your car while i had my wife and 5 children in a wagon is beyond me.
Next time I pray I catch you in my Evo.
On another note I saw a grey stock looking Evo MR. I waved hi but as my wife says.......Evo owners tend to ignore anything else but another Evo. LOL.
