Good question! We have been busy as sh*t on weekends man. We are out of town every weekend this month. Next month is finally slows down.

 

Same here... been crazy and I seem to be having car issues everyday. My motorcycle has some electrical gremlins. My wife's 08 STi's OEM turbo seems to have committed suicide. My evo is back at SOM to tie up loose ends and our Forester is making some weird sounds.

And she is only working part time now (Instead of getting laid off) so money has been scarce.

lol, wtf?! How does it need a rebuild, the car was barely driven??

 

I might try to head up that way. I went to one there a few months back and it was a nice turn out of cars, smaller than Raleigh Grande but with great mix of cars. Didn't have the 50 instances of the same model Honda and so on.

 

Its the same turbo that was on my blue evo. I've had it for the last 4 years. It probably has about 20k on it form both cars. Maybe more. The last 4-5 years have been a blur.

What makes it suck is Mia's OEM turbo on her 06 STi died about the same time I got the news on the Evo.

 

Took my IX to Leith Mitsu today to have airbag recall done and they said they didn't want to touch it because I have a tune, a/f gauge and a boost gauge..

 

I dropped by last Friday to schedule mine and they asked me if I was tuned, what mods I had, etc. I'm wondering what a tune has to do with an airbag module that's installed up behind the glove box. To the last, it seems Mitsubishi wants to keep thumbing their nose at the owners of the only cars that have kept them relevant for the last decade.

I'm surprised they could simply turn you away. You own a vehicle that that has an open recall, and a safety recall at that, and addresses a potentially LETHAL issue. This Takata airbag issue has affected several car makers, and is well known, so it's not like it can be brushed under the carpet. If anything, they could have simply had you sign a waiver that they aren't responsible if your mods get messed up during the process.

It would seem to me that they would be the target of significant litigation if you were to get into an accident, and you or your passengers were hurt or killed, simply because they didn't want to perform an authorized recall service just because you were tuned and had guages...

When will the madness end????

 

^^^^110% agree. Them turning you away for an air bag recall is ridiculous!
