I called Rockingham...they said gates open at 5 pm and runs start soon after...

I've never been to the Rock but I'm guessing it takes hour & a half to hour & 45 mins to get down there?? So I'm guessing we should leave Raleigh around 3pm or a little after...I'm not sure what everyone else is planning/wants to do before we head out so lets start figuring something out...

haha Maybe...still not 100% sure yet...I guess depends on the Temp. If its gonna get down to low 80s or high 70s then yes...if its gonna be 90+ degrees like when i went to Fayetteville then no...too fu*king hot...I may take my plugs out again and clean them since I don't have the $$ for new 1s right now...haha...and also see if there is any more weight I can take out of my car without getting too ridiculous...I want that 11 second slip damn it!!!

^^That reminds me of this guy's car that we saw at a meet in Fayetteville. It was a IX with NOTHING inside but a driver's seat and a steering wheel lol I've been down to Rockingham once... seems like it took longer than that to get there. I just googled it and it said hour and 45 mins to 2 hours though

I used to drive by Rockingham regularly when I was a network consultant...Richmond Community College was one of our clients.

1.5 hours seems about right...

Takes me about 1 hour 45 from durham to get there going to speed limit, 1:15 from apex, raleigh, somewhere in between. Last time on the bike it only took about 1 hour to get back, although I wouldn't recommend that (it was cold as **** and we just wanted to get home) as there are a lot of cops that like to hide in the medians when you get closer to Rockingham. I have actually had a friend arrested down that way for speeding on US1.
