Good question! I will be selling my SUV by the end of the year as well. So I will be dropping down to 1 vehicle for a while. I need cargo space for bikes & the dog so trying to figure out an SUV/truck that will fit in the garage & not be completely boring to daily drive.
Hope you're doing well dude!

Hey Rufi, I had to replace my starter a few months ago, and I ended up just going to my local advance auto and getting a replacement from there. In my research, the evo 8 and evo 9 starters are almost exactly the same, and can be interchanged. The major difference is the grounding post (i'm pretty sure that is what it's called) is longer/angled on the 9. I know the evo 8 starter is listed at a much more reasonable price.

Hi guys,
I just replaced my starter because I thought that was the problem.
The car has:
1. New battery - replaced 2 months
2. New starter - replaced 2 months ago, then replaced just now because I thought that was the problem.
Side note: After getting a new battery and starter 2 months ago the car threw a P0335 code - crankshaft position sensor. The CEL eventually went away. The car doesn't have a CEL now.
Also thought motor was locked up so I spun on it on the crank bolt.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
