Took a trip to AMS...
The day after my big Meet...

Batteries Plus flew me back to Waukesha, WI, for some conversion training. This was the second and final time I was going there (first time being last month) so I wanted to take my opportunity on seeing AMS in West Chicago.
Last week, I went to visit the infamous AMS EVO pilot, Eric Jones. We actually went and graduated at the same high school here in Jacksonville, FL and hung out in the latter 90's before he eventually moved away to Chicago to work at the small shop called Automotosports. Anyhow, I called him up to see if I could come by AMS and see the shop. Well, I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking...

The "Call Center"...

Every custom shop needs one of these in the lobby...

Went in the bays and found Eric working on a customer's fuel pump issue on their Talon...

Oh and those aren't real "Racing Hart" wheels. They're "Racing Type" wheels! Eric made it a point to tell me since he remembered that I used to roll on Racing Hart wheels.

5 bays are pictured, but there are actually two more. As you can see the shop is very clean and well organized...

The new project shooting to be the World's Quickest Hurst...

Here's a Genesis that they were installing an upgraded 18G turbo(customer supplied) and AMS FMIC on...

Eric holding the turbocharger...

What fell out...

The AMS EVO8 stripped bare. NOS Energy Drinks is no longer their sponsor and according to Eric, this may be the last hurrah...

In case any of you forgot what it looked like before the NOS Energy Drink sponsor, here's a link to when he brought the AMS EVO to Florida and I caught up with him and did a small photoshoot with it when I still had my old Volks...

So Eric and I, hopped in my blistering rental Ford Focus sedan and he decided to take us to this restaurant...

Returned to AMS and Eric had to get back to work. Here's more pictures of the outside before I had to head back to Milwaukee to fly back to Florida...

Hope you guys enjoyed. Sorry the pictures were in and out of focus, I was scrambling to get as many pictures taken before leaving...

Wow, that black Talon used to belong to one of my close friends back in Cleveland, OH! Never thought I'd see that car again. I remember when he put those mirrors/wheels on!
Used to have a Greddy 18g on there, pulled hard as hell for the small mods it had at the time! This was about 3 years ago haha.

I definitely wanted to share with you guys and if my old *** can still be impressed after being in the game for 13 years, then it's got to be some kind of unique to others. Even I couldn't believe I was at AMS. Glad you guys enjoyed.

At least it wasnt snowing when you went there. I drove a good hour and a half through snow and a day after having the stomach flu. AMS is definitely one of the cleanest, well organized shops I have ever seen and all the R&D going on is amazing. I liked the 4 GTR's that were up on lifts, all without transmissions.

All the pictures you see, are all the pictures I have. I did forget to mention that the turbo in there is a 42R and the record they're trying to beat is only mid-13's. I think they have another trophy coming in the future.
