Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville Evos (NEW)
I don't know if anyone else has seen the yellow Evo rolling around here, but I finally got to talk to him. Here's what I gathered:
His car apparently makes 390whp with a stock 8 (9.8 hotside) ported turbo running at 22psi.
Apparently he has cams (sounded like 272's, he couldn't tell me what kind though) and nothing else and has revved it a couple times at the track to 8500rpm (he doesn't know if he has headstuds, but definitely does NOT have anything done to the head otherwise)
Apparently he ran a 11.3 at 129mph (with a 1.8 60ft) with said modifications and power level.
Planned to put a 4G67 block (I've heard of it, but don't know much about it) with an HKS turbo of some sort
Seemed like a nice enough guy, but the information shared with me seems a bit.....skewed. I know a bunch of people have seen him, but no one seemed to know him or have talked to him. Well....I have now.
And no he's not on the forums. This is apparently his first "tuner" car.

I think I'm the only person that hasn't seen that freaking guy. Everyone's like "you see that orange and black Evo?"
No one has said anything positive about the way the car looks yet though. So I'm assuming it looks retarded.
I've never seen it either.
I pulled the valve cover today to check/re-torque the headstuds. It's been suggested to me a bunch of times if doing the 1x1 method. I will say that 4 allowed for a smidgen of a turn from when I first torqued them. Everyone that reports back after doing that hasn't had a failure so I have high hopes. I finally ran a clean 1/8npt tap through the meth bung and she screwed right in, so that's good to go now too. As best I can tell, she's solid (boost leak wise) and ready to go.

haha thats exactly what i was thinking, but didnt want to have an awkward moment when some random guy pops in here and is like "yeah i drive the orange and black evo with whacked paint"....awkward.

although when i come thru the gates on bragg, that is always the gate guards response.... wow, nice car, fast and the furious ... blah blah blah. I want to get out and shoot them in the face lol. Thinking to myself, yeah fast and the furious, only more horsepower, actual races, unfortunately no hot chics, but on the brighter side, no paul walker
