Hey man...captainsquirts lol nice name. Yeah I’d advice anyone in the area to not go to any evo shop. I know quite a few people who’ve been screwed over here.

Let me know about this clutch job as well. I've done at least eight now (including mine twice). It's really not hard, just time consuming. Also, make absolutely sure you have a slide hammer to get the axles out. That **** held me up a week trying to get one the first time I did an Evo clutch... of course it was mine so hooray that. Really all you need besides that are basic tools, four jack stands, plenty of beer and food, and a healthy array of curse words.

****, I did it 3 - 4 times and never had a slide hammer lol. I just found a long screw that threaded into the shaft and put it through a chain. Just yanked the crap out of it and it comes out.

I used a screw from the exhaust hangers thats under/near the transfercase. Perfect fit on that shaft with a slide hammer. I am going to have to separate my transfercase and transmission since I have a leak from one of the O rings from install. Hopefully I can just unbolt everything and move it over some to the side and then replace the O ring/rings rather than taking it all the way down. I think it's the big O ring since I didn't add any lube/oil on it when mating it together with the transmission.

So I was actually able to motivate my mechanic friend (also owns an evo) to help me do the clutch job in his shop last weekend. He was always "too busy" thats why I came here asking for help lol but eventually he gave in to my constant nagging, cash helped too. I really appreciate you guys offering your help and experience, good to know you guys are around if I ever need it.
All of us in this area should have a evo meet sometime.

I ended up making my own eventually. Chain trick works, too. Always forget about that one.
