Does anyone happen to have a tactrix open port 2.0 cable me and Krazykorean could borrow? Only would need it for a little while to change some things on my tune.

It sucks starting from scratch. I am kicking myself for not saving the tune I had done on my 9 to use as a base for tuning my wife's.

I haven't pushed this in a while, but now that there is greater participation for these events, I would like to (re)introduce the Interstate-4 Evolutions page on Facebook. It's (yet another) way to stay connected with future events and photos from previous events. I always post on Evo-M and the FB page. However, the FB page might be easier to access than this thread at times.

It's still a work in progress, but if you have Facebook then I ask that you please check it out and 'Like' the page. Thanks!

You do know that the S&R LandNSea dyno reads 12-13% higher than a Dynojet!

One of my STi buddies made 406whp on that dyno with TopSpeed Doug yet trapped only 112mph

One of the guys from the Evo dyno event there was tuned on a dynojet 424x and made 13% higher numbers on the same tune on the S&R dyno.

If Dynojet is +13% over Mustang Dyno and S&R LandNSea is + 13% over dynojet numbers then your same tune at 267 would be +24-26% 340-360whp on the S&R dyno with no changes to your tune.

So be careful throwing numbers around. The track doesn't lie.

They couldn't tune my car due to not having the definition file for my Evo. They did one pull and it read 257HP. That's ten less than my Mustang Dyno read of 267 HP. I know all dynos read differently. I just haven't been able to get to a track in a few years.

Either way, I do need a new tune. S&R is going to help me with that (hopefully, if they can find a way to access my ECU).

Well thats interesting because some friends of mine went to the meet and watched tiggeryellow1 put down 436whp on S&R's dyno when he was tuned on a Dynojet to 390whp. The dynojet is supposed to be the highest reading dyno, period.

Its obvious they raise and lower the numbers on that dyno in order to meet their objectives. Such as making people think they need a retune (low) and then jacking the readings back up (high) and collecting a fee for "tuning".

If they cannot access your ecu, its a good indication that they are not qualified to be making changes to it if they cannot even figure out how to read your map. Its probably a blessing in disguise.

it's an issue within a definition file, that's all. And the dyno doesn't read high, there's never been anything to show that. There have been cars on this dyno that have come from other dyno jets and they read the same.

Hey guys, I am not sure where this convo is headed, but let me make the following statements:

1)My car hasn't been tuned since my upgrades. My "Orlando" tuner promised to tune it at no additional cost since I was inconvinienced (long story) and traveled from Tampa. That never happened and after spending thousands in his shop, I probably will end up never seeing him again.

2)What are numbers when you compare it to satisfaction? My pull this past weekend dissappointed me reading numbers less than I expected. However, I am sure that will change soon enough. The people at S&R worked hard on my car, just to be defeated (temporarily) at the end. That kind of determination is what I wish every garage had. I am sure that when the time comes, I will be satisfied.

3)MOST IMPORTANTLY: Please, don't sling rocks on this thread. Start another thread to sling rocks, if it is THAT important to do so. This thread was closed already once because of rock slinging. Let's keep it clean in here.

Thanks for reading this long entry.

Awwww man here we go... how did I get brought into this??? NO DEAL!!! All I am gonna say is you shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house; and if you don't want somebody to get defensive... then don't put them in a position where they have to defend themselves. Also and (I have to check my dyno sheet) gkania I am pretty sure I put down a best 399 on that Dynojet Jus sayin. Since we are name and dime dropping and all. I could probably do better on an ATP GTX3076R or a BBK Arrow yea? Which do you think?

The point is under no circumstances should any dyno read higher than a dynojet. They are the highest reading. So 436 L&S >399 DJ says that something is up with the readings on that dyno. The same reason a 400hp STI on a SNR dyno should trap higher than 112-113. I don't know about those turbos mentioned or why you would ask me. I have been using a stock evo 9 turbo for about two years now.

I just wanted your opinion since you know much about dyno's... No reason other than that.

Well I was there, it is what it is, I would use their dyno as a tuning tool, so it was nice to get a baseline to use as a gauge for future mods.

HISEVO7, I sent you a link that may be able to help find what your looking for, let me know if it works or not and I can keep looking, but it may be worth asking in the ECU Flash Section.
