What's up guys?! I'm new to the forums and just got my Evo X a few months back. I haven't seen very many Evos out in the Tampa/Brandon area. Do ya'll ever have any meets, besides on weekends? I work Thursdays-Sundays. Sucks, I know.

 

Not many midweek meetings, sorry... But I've had a few private meets with myself and other Evo owners... Had two last week, actually.

I may be leaving in 3 months for at Ft Bragg, NC. Alex, I think your wife misunderstood my FB post? I'm interviewing for the job next week. It's an opportunity I can't miss with a very reputable unit. However, it's not set in stone. IF I don't get it, I'll be here till the end of the year before my tour is up.

BTW - I bought a 2011 Evo X GSR w/leather, SSS last night. Anyone want to buy an Evo IX with HKS GTII turbo?

I went back to a X, cause I really wanted something a little better for driving in bumper to bumper traffic. I'm really surprised at how refined the 2011's have gotten. It's definitely smoother and quieter then the 2008 that I used to own.

Can't believe you came back to the X! I still wanted your last X lol. Glad you like it more though! I love my 08 I got lucky and got a good production car I guess. So far absolutely 0 problems.

Not the first owner, but third. First owner traded it at Carmax and you know how picky they are. Second owner purchased from carmax. Car was never modded until I bought it. I got a great deal on it cause the turbo went out on the previous owner during a test drive while he was trying to sell it. I bought the HKS GTII and a bunch of mods and had it all installed at S&R performance. The only things I installed myself were the bilsteins w/swift springs, SpoolinUp COP and Perrin intake.

Mods (besides above): perrin inlet, instead of upper IC pipe (which makes the car noisier) I chose mulitply silicone hoses, LICP is a modded buschur pipe to fit the AMS Intercooler, Greddy Evo 2 catback with vishnu downpipe and 300 cell HFC, pro-sport MBC, 880cc injectors, 255lph fuelpump. I'm sure there is some other stuff that I can't remember. Tuned by Doug/TopSpeed, too conservative as it only produced 385whp/385wtq before installing COP a couple months later.

Stereo: Alpine CD/MP3 player with Ipod and multi-adapter (seriously, you can plug in anything to it) and an Infiniti Basslink subwoofer (just the right amount of bass).

Will come with 17" Evo IX wheels and Advan AD07 tires. It currently has Evo X GSR wheels and Michellin Primacy tires which I intend to keep for the new Evo.
