Gulf coast SCCA racing in P'Cola
Gulf coast SCCA racing in P'Cola
Just wanted to put the word out that the Gulf Coast area SCCA will be starting the 2004-racing season on
Sunday Jan. 18 at Bronson field.
This is a good spot to hold a meet and watch some road racing.
If you want to race yourself, car tech inspection runs from
0800-0930.
Drivers’ meeting is at 10:00.
The cost is $15.00-20.00
If any of the area members want to get together lets set it up.
At least out here Barney Fife rent-a-cop won’t give us any ****.
Any questions just ask.

Some more info on the SCCA thing. It’s SOLO II racing, one car on the track for a timed run.
If you want to race, you must be there between 0800-0930 for tech inspection. You should not have any loose items in your car, speakers box, bags, tools and so on. You need a helmet or you can use one of the tracks.
During registration there will be two lines, one for pre-reg and one for newbies.
You will be assigned a class during tech-inspection based on your car and experience.
There is a ladies class as well, Kristy.
If you just want to watch, you’re more than welcome, just no pets.
They are always looking for volunteers to work the field, so if you want to help out great.
The location of Bronson field is just before Blue Angle Park.
Go west on hwy 98 past Blue angle parkway. Shortly after you pass the Food Tiger store on 98, look for the sign to Blue Angle Park on your right. There is normally a SCCA sign posted as well. The field is just before you enter the park on your right.
