So I spent a week in Raleigh: My impressions
First off let me say that the move is most def. happening since I just bought a house there yesterday just before I boarded my flight to come back to Atlanta.
Raleigh strikes me as ONE. BIG. SUBURB. LOL.
Compared to Atlanta or Toronto (Canada) The actual city of Raleigh is WAY small. Not a big thing just not something I'm used to. I always lived in the suburbs in Atlanta (Lawrenceville/Loganville for those in the know) but I'm used to having a city to travel too if I felt like it.
I can tell that there will not be as much to do in Raleigh. In Atlanta Cirque Du Soleil breezes through, all types of BIG car gatherings (Import Alliance, Import Showdown. Twice, lol)
Again not a big thing just different. I BARELY saw any imports. I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Brier Creek but while i was house hunting I went to Wake Forest, Wakefield, southern parts of Durham, Morrisville, Apex, Cary, Rolesville, Garner, North Raleigh and as far as Fuquay Varina............I saw a few smatterings of lightly modified Honda's (like 3) and one nice Evo X (Looked like it might've been on some Rota Grids or real TE's but it was a black X on black aftermarket wheels and had an exhaust).
E85 seems like a bit of a challenge to get but there is about one or 2 gas stations i can get it from (Thank God).
The city itself seems a lot slower then what I'm used to (And that will take a lot of time getting used to).
All in all I'm excited about the move. Excited about the new role I'll have with my company. And def. seems like the import community here is a tad smaller then in Atlanta. I guess it means my wife's car and mine will stand out a little more.

if im thinking about the right location you are either near or somewhat near Spec-Ops and i think Force fed performance. i have dealt with Spec Ops and they are really good. they usually tend to have a nice group of cars by them.

According to google maps Fayetteville is about 1hour to an hour and a half away. That really su. I'm used to having a shop no more then 30-45 minutes away.
For you, I would bring the shop to you brother
Congrats on getting a house. Let me know when you would like to swing by the shop. Love to meet you in person and as always, if you ever need anything, just let me know.

Welcome to NC! Force-Fed Performance is worth the drive... I travel three hours to get there myself. I know they have some e85 evos, so they can probably give you some info on locations.
Good luck with the house!

In Lawrenceville there is a small community called Grayson. Its school system is AWESOME (if you have kids).
Its buyers market here. The homes in Lawrenceville are an awesome price and its pretty safe.

Stay away from the south side. Homes don;t appreciate as much. For your price range you can get an awesome house in the north. Suwannee, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville and a little further North Loganville.
