Need a good tuner in TN,AL,Ga

Hey guys i live in Chattanooga,Tn right on the TN,GA state line. Anyway i have to retune my car soon and i was wondering who is the best tuner around the are. Im leaning toward Forged motorsports in Atl or Topspeed but also read some bad reviews about Topspeed. Just want to see if there is any other good tuners out there? Any help would be greatly appreciated it.

Not real sure how far you're willing to go, but Mellon isn't too far outside Memphis, and Spec Ops is in NC (Fayetteville). Both of them are really good tuners.

already talked to Mellon but memphis is about 7hrs give or take which is okay, but im also worried if something goes wrong then i have to travel another 7hrs to get it checked out. I would say 4hrs away max.

Why would you say that? Get the tatrix cable and EvoScan so you can e-mail your logs if something looks or seems like it could be going wrong to Mellon. He does do e-mail tuning.

Check out Mainstream Performance. They're near ATL and they built/tuned mine. AWD Dynojet and everything (678) 363-6891 Ask for James.

A buddy of mine went to mainstream, they refused to tune his built engine and HTA86 past 24 psi because "it was nearing the efficiency range of the turbo." wasted time and money IMO.

I definitely would not take it to TopSpeed either.

Your most convenient route would be an email tune from any of the reputable tuners on this forum. It's always nice to have a tactic cable too.

I'm just worried about email tune because I'm fairly new to evos and just don't want to mess anything up :/

E-mail tunes are just as good as regular tunes, they just take a little bit longer, that's all. You go through all the same steps as a normal tune. Tune, log, tune, log lol. Just you e-mail the tune and logs back and forth.

It's pretty common for customers to make the drive here to get tuned in person first then later pick up a tactrix cable, ecuflash and evoscan so that they can get touch ups as needed later.

I'm also looking for good shops in that area. I live in Clarksville myself, but I'm willing to trek to Atlanta or Louisville, etc. I'm looking for a shop with a dyno, however, as I have had 2 negative experiences with email tuning now. I was originally looking at Top Speed in ATL but after reading a lot of negative along with some positive, I'm doubtful. Forged might be what I'm leaning towards.

I'm doing cams, injectors, ecu controller boost, amongs a couple of other things, fwiw

Forged is who I was leanin towards also but I have been talking to spec-ops and they are about 6hours away and the same price as forged so I might drive there. Not sure yet :/
