Hi, im moved from PR to NC(winston-salem) like 6 months ago....bought a POS mazdaspeed3 (becuase at the time couldn't find a decent EVO, anyway long story short...finally got an EVO IX, MR,GG)LOVE THE CAR...

but I need to replace my clutch (i know is a PITA) to do it yourself but im use to do major work on my cars (coming from a family of mechanics and always using tips on the forums/sites since i started with DSM's back in 2005) but just looking to see if anyone its around the area and willing to lend a hand on this PITA project... I know nobody will be thrilled about this kind of job, but its worth the try since i really don't have much car-buddies here that could help...

I have the parts coming in still (flywheel, shift. bushings, clutch lines and clutch kit itself...) when i have all the parts@home I will set up my schedule for this "TASK"

I visit the knollwood mall, down in Winston (a lot of crappy cars but sometimes nice cars get there... )

There's a few folks in the Triad, but not a big Mitsu presence there that I'm aware of. There's more of us in the Charlotte, Raleigh, and Fayetteville areas.

 

Is to long of a drive to knock down every Friday(i think its the meet day?!) ... but as soon as i fixed my grounded 9(for the clutch stuff), i will head there to meet some of you guys...

and i will take my car to Babi(a friend from the mazda scene recommend him... and he is also PRican xD) to get me tuned...

What's up fellow Winston-salem resident. I live here in winston as well. I drive a WW evo IX. Kasey at HIS Motorsports tuned my evo 3 years ago and it still runs strong. He knows what he is doing. I would volunteer to help you with the clutch but I have a 19 month old a home and work as a shop foreman for the local Audi dealership so I get burned out quickly. Haven't been to the Thruway shopping center meets yet, but my friend Brian with his WW evo ix has several times. Good luck with the clutch and we will meet sometime.
