Well I made my second attempt at installing my FSB and Steering Precision kit today and I have failed again....

The first go around I broke one of the bolts that holds the tie bars on, and then I broke one of the sway bar end links so i thought it best to just quit before something serious happened.

This time I felt pretty prepared, and things were looking good. The last bolt I had to remove was one of the large bolts on the front of the sub-frame holding it to the car. This is basically a 12mm bolt made to the car with a nut on it. Well the whole thing is just spinning so I'm gonna have to cut a whole in the car somewhere and get to that bolt and take it out or something. FML

I did get my torque solution propeller shaft bushings installed and the beat rush diff bushings. I haven't driven the car much yet, but it seems like there is less of that bucking thing these cars tend to do. I think I'm gonna do the torque solution front mount as well.

How was everybody else's weekend?

Ouch. Maybe I'm making a good decision on waiting until a clutch is needed! I did my best to screw up a fuel pump install, but the car actually runs afterwards!

Man, if it wasn't for stupid rusty bolts it would be super easy. At this point I could do it 4-5 hours w/out air tools. The worst part is taking that plastic belly pan off, which is why I didn't put mine back on.

Damn that sucks! So there is actually a bolt in the sub frame with a nut on it you can't reach or get to at all? That's a horrible design.

I put on hood dampers this weekend, took a whole 20 mins. hahaha Got my seat lowering brackets along with new rotors and SS brake lines in too. Just need some time to put them on.

Would anyone be up for a meet this weekend? The 11th maybe?

Interesting, I haven't done much suspension stuff yet, but will. Look forward to dealing with this. Update us on how you fix it.

As long as the weather holds out I should be up for something. Although I may not be able to stick around long, these crappy weekends have me way behind on a bunch of stuff.

Ahh I did actually read that and then got distracted and forgot... But yeah I'm down. Something on the shorter side closer to Chatt would be nice

As long as it involves food, I'm always up for something.

Ok, I could probably meet up Saturday. Usual spot at Starbucks, or maybe the parking lot next to the sonic/ rush so people can get snacks. The lovel location might have more parking than the walker springs one.

Not much interest in a meet this weekend, maybe the 24th?

Also the 25th is dyno day at Fastech. I plan to go.

I wish I could have the car together before this upcoming Dyno day but it just isn't going to happen.
