Ya, I was up late helping my father-in-law with his truck and didn't get to wash my filthy car. I'm also building a deck, so that has been consuming all my free time.

 

SWEET! An Evo club! Im in Johnson City but would gladly come to knoxville for a meet. Anyone got a CDI setup they wanna sell hehe xD.

 

Unfortunately this club never really took off. We had a few successfull meets initially, but the interest quickly petered out.

 

Oh darn. Well im always up for hanging out with other evo ppl haha. We sort of have a little club of our own here in johnson city....not evo specific tho. Im always working on tuner cars and stuff. Sucks the knoxville club did not take off. You could try again ��

 

I live in Castlewood, VA which is about 45 minutes from Johnson City. I know of 2 other Evo X's in Abingdon/Bristol area. There is an Evo 9 MR in Lebanon, VA as well.

 

I'll try and get it going again. I'm an Evo-lifer! The Evo is currently down, the engine is completely apart for a rebuild.

Let's plan way ahead! Hope about meeting Friday, September 30th as October 8th will be my 8 year anniversary with my Evo but I'm out of town that weekend. I need some running Evos in my life! Who is in?

 

Where would the meet be located?
I might be able to attend depending on work related travel that is in the making.

 

By the way where do you guys get tuned at or what do you use to do it?

 

We use to do West Knoxville but we could probably make a case for doing something east.

 

I use tscomp out of PA. Using EvoScan, ECUFlash and virtual dyno.

Fastech is a great tuner here in Knoxville and they have a awd dyno.

 

I use ecu flash and evos can as well. I do my own stuff. Heard Tscomp is really good tho.

 

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of getting evoscan and ecuflash. I bought the Cobb Accessport and learned of its lack of self tuning unless you are a Cobb vendor/pro tuner.

I am using DSMLink for 2G GSX now so evoscan/ecuflash shouldn't be that hard to learn.

 

We could meet up in Pigeon Forge somewhere if we get a meet setup. It's about 2 hours from where I live to get there.

 

For the Evo X, I strongly recommend an E-tune from TJ VanCott of WTF tuned https://www.wtftuned.com/ . Chet Rickerman is also great. They are two of the best X tuners in the world. Of course you need to be using ecu flash and evoscan as others have mentioned.

 

Looks like I will be in San Jose, CA for work related training at the end of September so I will not be able to make a meet down towards Knoxville.
