The reason I point out the uncorrected numbers is because the op is using that as his reasoning that he should have that hp & torque number too. He lives in GA and hot weather is coming soon, so I was merely trying to point out that he is being very optimistic.

Good point of view , as I guess down in GA he's not going to see very cold weather that often. Also from dyno to dyno #'s will be different and just cause your mods are the same the power numbers can be very misleading. Sorry my bad ReaperX.

i idint even think about the cold weather or any of that, i talked to a guy from spec ops motorsports last night, learned the difference between a mustang and dyno jet.... i feel like a real dumbass on that end for never having been dyno'd i never knew the difference. so adjusted numbers are 310-320 or so, ill be getting a down pipe and o2 housing and keeping it straight piped and then switched to an ETS short route UICP, skipping the S/D and just getting tuned on MAF, i'd be happy with pretty much anything above 300 lol. but im more wanting to get it tuned for everything to smoothed out, like idle and all that, and gas mileage, i noticed once i had thrown on the intake and what not, my fuel mileage went down a bit.

Its because your maf is compensating with more o2 and in order to do that with no tune it dumps more fuel.

bumping this dead *** thread, after realizing i didnt know WTF was going on ir what i was doing, i put everything back to stock for last year, did a lot of research and reading, stock piled a few parts and threw everything together, going to get dyno'd the 16th of January 2015.

STM Ported and coated OEM exhaust manifold
TiAL BV50 (VTA) (un-painted spring at the moment, switching to the white spring to reduce flutter and surge)
Nisei Short Route UICP
ETS LICP
Megan o2 housing
3" DC straight pipe TBE with a high flow cat welded in / /
HKS intake
Perrin Foam Filter
Hallman Pro series MBC
Walbro 255 (stock injectors still)

with the VTA is there anyway i can run it with a MAF without getting surge?
thinking about doing Speed Density, but i didn't really want to jump into that until i was in higher HP numbers where it actually matters, but if thats what i have to do to run the BV50 than thats what i gotta do haha. I'll call the tuner tomorrow and talk to him about it (tuner is as SpecOps Motorsports in Fayettville North Carolina, but in the mean time id appreciate y'alls feed back and opinions on setup, thanks!

If you're going VTA, I'd recommend going to SD. Too many headaches trying to make it work with MAF, and you'll end up going SD anyway.

agree'd i ended up chatting with my tuner today, converted everything back to recirc for the time being, will probably hold off on my VTA set up until SD is a more viable option, like when i have a bigger snail rather than running SD on the stock turbo, kind of a waste

Wow. can't believe I missed this thread. I'm from Atlanta. No one I'd trust to tune my car. Avoid TopSpeed (I think Doug left there anyway and I had personal bad experiences from there as well as a lot of people I know), Forged (too many bad experiences through people I know), Batlground is ok (I like Justin) but I don't know of anyone on staff that can tune cars there good (Owner is no longer in country and couldn't tune my wife's STi properly).

That Video is Big Al. I guess we have gone long enough that people don;t remember his antics. I don't trust anything he says or his videos.

I trust Matt implicitly at spec-ops. Glad you ended up there. It would've been my first choice for SE region. Good luck.

And in my experience trying to guess what you'll make based on mods is almost a sure way to lead to disappointment. Every car is different. They respond to mods different and Spec-Op's Mustang Dyno is a heart breaker. Numbers arent high but cars perform. Don't get to caught up in the numbers game.

If the driveability is good and the car makes X amount more horsepower/TQ then before the mods and tuning then its a win win.

Good luck and have fun. Try not to get bitten by the horsepower bug too hard.
