spring install
Search RRM spring install on Youtube. They have two videos, one for the front and another for the back springs. Even though they are installing a different type of spring, the same principle and technique are used.
o thanks that doesnt look too hard although I can't seem to find the vid for the front springs. Also I was wondering if it is safe enough when unscrewing the springs without a compressor?
Never take the risk with the front springs. You can rent spring compressors from most auto part stores. The rears are ok in most cases but I've always used a compressor on the rears just for safety except for when I did my evo. Break the nuts free while the struts are still in the car, and take them off the rest of the way when they're out and you have the spring compressed. Usually takes me 30 mins per corner in my driveway.
Spring compressors are a good investment, that is if your like my buddy and too cheap to buy extra shocks for the winter raise, then the spring compressor will eventually pay off in the end. Plus you get to save some money and get the enjoyment of DIY (and the frustration sometimes)
The front spring video isnt called "front spring" I think its called "RRM Grip spring install", but once you find one just click on the link to the right saying " Videos posted by the same person". RRM are one of the few companys that make really good install video, take for example thier RRM V2 intake video, they make it look so easy.

haha if thats how it goes i dont mind , its not hard n i have done this gen lancer 3 times now , all i will say is if you install em on your own having the right tools make a big difference in time , for these cars tho a spring com is a waste of time the stock springs arnt compressed that much you just have to take your time taking off the bolt that hold em on ( air gun for this ) if you dont have a air gun id go with a spring comp cuz its already gonna take alot of time anyways

They really aren't that difficult to install. You and a friend should be able to knock it out in a half day and save you a good bit of money.
