The car is not gonna set on fire. unless you douse the engine with gasoline, pull a plug keeping it attached and try to start. Of course that wouldn't be too bright.. well when fully engulfed it would be sort of bright.

Actually Xenon Depot is recommending the over board option to ensure zero possiblity of problems.

The relay + 1 or 2 anti flickers ensures A) 100% start ups (failing to ignite wont happen) B) Regardless of what position the switch is in, the HID kit will activate due to the anti flickers (because once they get a charge they ignite the ballast, they are capcitors after all)

Cheers

every kit is different. With a relay it may not flicker, in some cases you may get add behaviour.

Next wednesday is when Xenon Depot makes the 8000k hid available to the car club as a discount so I will find someone who wants to buy it to test it out. We will have the Relay and the Anti Flicker CANBUS fix kit

I'm gonna try to hook it to the relay again later with the ground on the battery. Coz when I hooked it up right after I got the slim digital, it made like a rattling sound (didn't know where it was coming from but it sounded like when electrical products short) and it was synced to the flickering of the HIDs, but the it was grounded to the chassis that time.

If your interested in the XenonDepot kits, there are two a 6500 Xtreme Japanese kit and the Xenon Depot Volt kit which is 6000k.

Both kits very soon will have the Relay and Canbus fix included.

We just have to wait for XenonDepot to come back from Holidays.. they are closed for the next week or so.

But i will keep you posted.

There is one kit available that is available for our club at a XenonDepot installer. let me know if your interested in that.
