GT vs. GTS

Is it just me, or does it feel like the GT doesn't exist?
It seems like on the forums there's the DE, ES, and GTS... and nobody ever makes mention of the GT.

But I have a GT... I think!! At least that's what I ordered and what I feel I got from Markham Mitsubishi. Anyway I never questioned the existence of the GT until I started looking at Lancer forums.

Am I alone in the GT world, or do I actually have GTS with 16 inch rims?

If I'm not mistaken a lotta members drive a GT-trim lancer.
and I would exchange my sucky ES to a GT in a heartbeat.
or even my ES to another ES M/T. =)

naw a couple members have a black GT as well

also my freind picked up his lancer 09 GT 3 days ago from markham mitsubitshi as well
i had to take it home for him and teach him how to drive manual heh. im sure he'll be on here soon enough

but yea you're certainly not alone. i think its actually smarter to take the GT instead of the GTS

considering u already got the sunroof+sound...thats all u really need anyways

only thing GTS has that GT doesnt is a thicker rear sway bar + 18in rims and tires...i'll admit the rims are pretty nice on the GTS however the tires u get are the dunlops and they are really a piece of ****.

the yokos De to GT gets is way better.

they're nice until you try lifting one up and realize how heavy they are! i swear acceleration is severely hampered by those damned weights

I GOT BLACK GT, love it

GT doesnt have the Temp setting HVAC controls like the GTS.

Sick.. I forgot about that part. I kinda wanted that option!
And the GPS... but I ended up getting my own anyway.. and it blends into the dash pretty well when I hook it up.

i wish they woulda done the whole gt , gts thing for 08 , the guys that bought the gts in 08 got screwd cuz the 09's come with the 2.4 now , we still got the suspension and all the other **** but damn mitsu is gay for doin that

in terms of performance between the gt and the gts of 08 - gts 09 there is a second difference all around , 0-60 , 1/4 mile

i raced a 09 gts in my 08 gts at cayuga and was surprised at the difference

Oh that must be it! Maybe because most people have 08's rather than 09's... makes up for the lack of GT's out there.

Yeah.. maybe next year's ES is gonna be equivalent to the power of this year's GT.
