EvoX Master Cylinder Solution

I'm not sure if you guys are aware. But Magnus Motorsports has released a proper solution to the faulty OEM evoX master cylinder.

Not sure if anyone on here has blown their OEM cmc, but I ended up getting the Magnus one, especially if you live in Toronto Area, probably the best bang for the buck to replace the faulty OEM unit.

Just wondering, does anyone know the actual price for the OEM Mitsu one? The Magnus one is $295+install.

Some pics for anyone interested.

Not sure if this would apply to 5sp LANCERS but you never know.

All I gotta say is I'm supper happy with they way those guys took care of me.
I'm a big fan of them now. A++

Are you running an aftermarket clutch as well right now?
How much was the install?

Mine is being done as a part of a full engine rebuild. But they are pretty fast at doing stuff like this.

does it adjust the engagement by just increasing the overall throw of the pedal? or does it just keep the throw the same and somehow manage to lower the engagement point? sorry for the newb question, just curious how this works since the only reason i would buy this is because my clutch is annoying me right now

the pedal height is adjustable, you can raise or lower the pedal without loosing hydraulic pressure/ piston stroke.

Clutch engagement is based on the clutch material you chose. So if you have a Carbon clutch expect early engagement.

If you have an organic clutch expect later engagement. Also if you had your fly wheel resurfaced you will have later engagement as there is material missing from the fly wheel.

But If you would like the clutch to engage later (in the stroke) simply drop the pedal height via the Magnus CMC.

Newbbbbb! Hey dude, I actually got smoked by a truck tire on thanksgiving friday, so its been sitting in the shop with about 6k in damage here is a small **** pic I took that night

doesnt show much damage, but if you look close you will see there is 25% of aero lip gone lol, also needs new bumper as this one is broken, fog light, drivers side caliper got messed up, drivers side rim, undertray, LICP dent...
sucks but in 2 weeks or so I should have it back!

any ways to answer your question the cmc seems to be crazy stiff :S how can I lose some pressure,,,, or can I?

Which clutch are you running, it shouldn't feel that stiff.

You may need to slide by magnus to have them check it out. It very well could be the pressure plate or there may be something blocking the output pressure line from the master. It shouldn't feel very stiff, a little more then stock but not too horrible.

Once your Turkey Tire damage is fixed go see Marco and the boys at Magnus.

My car is almost done, just waiting of friggin ForcedPerformance to get my turbo back to us!

exedy stage 2 is stiffer than the stock clutch because of the pressure plate.
