I think too that they are going to be asking people to make comments between different tire sets... not just have them try one and give feedback. So hopefully their relative feedback will make people's comments more useful.

But I see what you are saying... if you just give a newb a set of tires to give feedback on... he may not have much of a basis to make valid comments.

I would be interested for some testing and I vouch for TheNEWB's track experience.
THere will be two classes, expert / semi pro, and everyone else.

There will be racing settings and there will be regular driving attributes. We will even be driving these on a road course as well. so there will be different testfor different things.

The set up will likely be

1) TIRE A
2) TIRE B
3) Other Brand Tire

You will not know what tire you a driving. But you will likely test all three,

Sounds great. Well you can count me in if you choose. It's just that track destroys equipment. I'll go through a set of pads in one event.

Here is more information about the tire company and what it is they are trying to do. Sailun is the tire company that has approached us. And while at first it leaves people skeptical. Upon closer look its very easy to see that the company means business and wants to make a class leading tire. They have a ways to go, but this is why they are so each to get this product testing and feedback. To allow them to move to the next level of development.

This is one of their tires they are looking at enhancing. As you can see its up to the test against other stronger brand name tires and holds its own. It places number 1 in comfort and near the bottom for overall Dry and Wet... But if you look at the tire line up. Come in last vs. Tier 1 and 2 tires... Thats still pretty good. With Sailun's planned tweaks to the tire they are looking to gain some ground.

There are long term tests as well as full day testing sessions that they wish to execute. On the track and on the road.

More info to come in the next few weeks
