Rims

Im thinking of picking up a new set of rims this summer. Im wondering about how wide i should go? Im still on stock suspension but i i will probably be getting coils before the summer. I currently have 225/40/18 rims on the car and im not sure how wide i can go.

Thanks

18X8 recommended, 18X8.5 is the upper limit. Any wider and you are asking for problems.

If you want to get wider rubber like 235 to 245 then 18X8.5 will flush it properly If you stick with 225 then you might get the stretch look, if that is what your into

On my sister in-laws car I put 18x8.5 +35 with 245/40/18's. It was off my evo but I went bigger. The rear fenders needed rolling though.

I'm thinking of selling my stock rims off my GTS and picking up a set of 18x8 +35 rims and using the 225/40/18 tires I have. I'm lowered on HSD coilovers so I was wondering if I would have issues with this setup.

I don't think you would have issues based on the fact there a half inch smaller rim and 2 sizes down in tire width from my sister in-laws. I'm only basing this on her rims and fitment though, just my $0.02.

if by issues you mean rubbing, then no..
you have much much clearance from the fenders.
I'm running the same setup and I'm planning on getting 10mm spacers on all four and I think I still won't have to roll my fenders

That is the spec for stock GTS wheels that you already have right now (if you still have them wheels on your car).
