24,000km maintenance cost

Is this really needed and is it worth the 284 +tax. When looking what they
check out it dosn't seem too involved. I know it for the whole warranty thing but
just the same.

Hey I got a quote for my 48k service from Dixie and it's near to $1K. Like the author above I'm trying to figure out where to save. What dealer is charging less for the service in your opinion?

To be honest you can get it cheaper at mostly any other garage. However I feel your pain on wanting to keep waranty. Your service every 24k is going to be a big one but I have a 5speed and its never been more than $400. I think it costs a little more for auto/cvt

Warranty with mitsubishi sucks. They cant reject a claim because you didnt do the full service. Look at the different service options and choose the critical parts you need to do or go to another shop and keep all receipts just incase.

Alot of extras on the service is just fluff you can do at home, maybe they dont even do it.

dont worry about the warranty. they cant tell you that your warranty is void because you didnt do the service with them. even if your car is under warranty, they wont recognize it anyway. plus i dont trust their service.

just do the service somewhere else. eg. midas or jiffylube or uncle bob's.

ya look at how they do the SST fluid.

They just drain and fill.

Correctly you would need to drain the SST, Drain the filter, drain the radiator, then new filter and re-fill everything.

Yet they still charge an arm and a leg for that service and still dont do it correctly.

Ask Pickering Mitsubishi how they took my tranny for warranty work and then carted it across the street to Mr Transmission cause they didnt have the tools to take it apart. FML

Mitsubishi dealer = EPIC FAIL
