Shorter exhaust hanger?
Shorter exhaust hanger?
Hi,
I installed a Greddy SE about 2 years ago on my Lancer GTS, I've noticed that it seems to hang somewhat low from the bumper (almost 2 inch gap from the "notch" in the bumper) compared to the stock exhaust did.
I've left it as is for awhile but wanted to know if anyone else had a similar experience and if there's something like a shorter rubber exhaust hanger I could use to raise it up slightly?
I can take a pic later if anyone's curious to the gap I'm talking about.
Thanks!
Bryan

Thanks for all your ideas guys!
Take a look at the other hanger of the axle back - at the connection to the midpipe. If it is bolted in the upper of the two threaded holes in the rear chasis, you need to relocate it into the lowed one. Trust me, the tip will go up as the axle back will pivot on the spherical connection to the midpipe. The actual pivot point will be the hanger near the tip of the axle back. - I used to have SE myself.
Spectrum Elite has been dscontinued early last year - no longer available. It was replaced by a cheaper version - SP.

Thanks again everyone for your input, really appreciate it

Just wanted to post an update, I followed Oksamit's advice and relocated the bolt to the rear frame from the top threaded hole to the bottom one and this levelled out the exhaust nicely.
Thanks again to everyone on here for their help!
