119mph.. interesting... i wonder what you would trap with a clean run

 

I have yet to experiance wheel hop. Launch to low it boggs, to high it spins tires. In the middle is just right. So evo gods in the event of wheel hop what do ya do? just let go of the gas and hope for the best?

 

119 is a nice trap, bet with some good driving get 121-122

 

what broke in the tranny, do you know or have any ideas/possibilities?

I see you say the car is still driveable so I assume it isn't too bad.

I've had some pretty major wheelhop a couple of times and just wondering what your symptoms are and stuff.

 

First gear broke some teeth, that's what Keith thinks it is anyway. When we pull it (hopefully this week) we'll find out.

Symptoms are howling in first gear only on accel and decel.

LOL, same thing my tranny has been doing for about 8 months now. Its not too terribly loud though and hasn't gotten any worse. I can't decide whether to cross my fingers and hit the track some more or go ahead and rebuild it.

It has seen multiple track launches after the bad wheelhop sessions, however I never have really noticed that the howl is too much louder. Mark has never said anything about it when he had it on the dyno, so iono.

 

nice trap speed maybe i'll be in your shoes pretty soon...not the busted tranny though
