He is sadly mistaken.........when the back of his foot is resting on the top of his head.....maybe he'll change his outlook.

Certainly not, but a 35r powered car will have a much peakier power band with both turbos at 28 psi, and it will be a good deal faster to boot. It only adds about 500 rpm worth of lag, but over 100whp in power potential.

That turbo is not maxed out yet. It can/will make more power. I was told that my 1g "maxed out" its GT35R when it ran 142mph@3000lbs without NOS on a 2.0l. A little more boost and it ran 145mph. The turbo still has more left in it. But I guess now its "maxed out". I love benchracers.

IMO, useing a 50t on 2.4 is like changing out the evo16 for the old dsm T25 on our 2.0. i mean come on. im no turbo expert or tuner for that matter, but the trade off in hp for 500 rpm going from a 50t to 35r seems well worth it. shoot hes going with a friggin 2.4l. but like TT said, this thing will have mad torque

Some people hate lag. That is why they go with the 50 trim on the 2.4l. Its a kick *** setup. Especially for the street.

I look at it like this...people are making 400whp on stock turbo with little to no lag. Thats awesome. I'll make 500+ just the same. I can be in 3rd gear at 2k now and mash the throttle and it picks right up! No more 4k shifts any more.

Your right...I'm sure there is still a mind blowing 15-25 more whp in the 50 trim. Its all about prefrence I guess. Spending all that money on a built 2.4, cams, SMIM, etc..etc.. and limiting yourslef to 500whp is not my cup of tea. 130 more whp is worth 500rpm lag to me. You could even run the 35r compressor with the gt30 turbine wheel and minimize the lag difference even more and still make over 600whp. To each his own though. I'm sure its fun either way.

But you said it was maxed out??...remember. How could we possibly get another 15-25hp out of it if its maxed out? I mean who wants stock like spool and 500whp? Why would you want that? U can either get a 50 trim and make 500whp@30psi or get the GT30/40 which is the turbo you are talking about above and make 600whp@35-40psi with more lag. For a street car I'll take the 500whp@30psi. The GT turbo's need ALOT of boost. It takes 35-40psi of boost to get the GT 30/40 to make 600whp. At normal boost levels (22-25psi) the 50 trim is great. Once you start winding the boost up very high, that is where the GT carts really shine. But not everyone want to run 35-40psi.

i like what Kieth said. I really dont want to run that much boost just for partly wanting longevity of the motor. 500+whp with no lag is hard to beat on the street. The car should take out most cars on the road today with this setup.
