GSC 280's Vs. Comp 280's

I'm wondering if you guys have any experience with the new GSC's for the VIII... I'm trying to decide which ones to get, stock turbo now, green later.

So far the comps sound like what I want, but are the GSC's any better??

Hows your idle with these cams? Did you loose a lot of torque down low? What rpms do these cams kick in?

Comps QC is garbage.. Do a search. I've also herd the cams are very very knock prone.

I run gsc 280's myself

lol, I did do alot of searching,(and calling) and found that although there was a bad "batch" of cams from comp where the angle sensor bolt hole was not correct, that seems to have cooled down and TT is installing them with good results...

I really was curious about the power delivery of these compared to the new gsc's, some vendors were claiming the gsc's are powerful and smooth, but at the same time almost too much cam for the stock turbo... even though I do want to upgrade some time to a BB, it's not gonna be too soon... so I really wanted best bang for the buck right now, and these guys who own the comp's seem to all love them, and all are crazed about the amount of power gained.

I did read also about the amount of timing, they can take less ignition timing than other cams before knock aparently.... but regardless of that, 40 whp is a great gain, so even with the timing less advanced, they supposedly make that much. hopefully with the tune I can get all of that.

Hell these days I'm glad I could just make a decision with all these cams out there!!!
