I got mine within a couple of days of ordering it and it made a difference in the way my EVO feels...and for the one that says it sounds different...I believe you. Not that its a distinct sound but the car itself feels better when you start it.

 

I just installed mine and went for a quick drive. I agree with all who described a different tone from the engine. It sounds great under load and I agree it is a more "tuned" sound.

Also, I can't believe my 1st - 2nd gear "crunch" is now gone. I have had that crunch since I bought the car new. I can say I do not miss it one bit! Overall shifting has a better feel, and I do not mind the added vibration in the cabin.
