+1, opening up the gap on an n/a car can produce more power but requires a better source for spark, not 100% sure on how this applies to the turbo world yet, but is that how you made more power on this, by running a larger plug gap? Or is it the same? If it is, can you gain more by doing so?

with a stronger spark it allows you to run a bigger gap in the plugs. which is where most of the power will come from. that and added with higher stronger spark.

from what i was told just the ignition swap. on a bigger setup i think more power would be made. then playing with plug gap would maybe yield some more too

^^Lucas hasn't tested the Non-cdi as yet. We've had other shops put it to the test and it has already made 575whp evo 9 35r supporting mods 30psi...the car later ran 10.2 in the 1/4

Plug gaps were .028 boost was 21psi...stock evo 8 turbo lightly modded.
We made NO changes and the gain was a solid 8-10whp every time...stock coils vs non-cdi.

We could have possibly picked up a couple more hp by increasing the gap a little but wanted the test to be easily duplicated by customers
