We made 706 whp on pump gas/meth with the Buschur ported intake manifold and T/B

Great value and bang for the buck

No, we do not recommend any of the "spacer" type intake manifold gaskets. I've seen too many of them blow out. We use the stock gasket.

3-4 hours to pull the intake off a stock EVO is a reasonable amount of time. The stock intake manifold bracket is a complete PITA to work around and get to. We do not install them back on a car unless it has the stock ECU and needs all the vacuum lines.

We have been replacing ripped or worn seals on all the throttle bodies since we've been building them. Recently we made the change to replace every single seal regardless of it's appearance. Also, blueevo, not sure if we ported the intake or not but if we did it was matched to the throttle body. When putting the throttle body onto the intake there is play in the bolt holes, you need to move the TB around to line it up becuase of the bolt to bolt hole difference. There is also a chunk of the intake we do not touch to make it line up with the bottom on the TB where the IAC passages are on the bottom, we do that to keep the inlet hole to the TB round. I am touching on this just to be clear.

Dang Mike and Al, I completely forgot about those two cars. Sorry! Al, you are who I was referring to actually about the big gains from stock intake/TB to the ported/65mm. How much was the power gain?

Does anyone have a how to or write up on what exactly can all be removed once you run a stand alone? I know I still have a ton of vacuum lines and stuff I no longer need.

Great pictures and write up; I would love to see the process for your ported exhaust manifold's as well I'll be upgrading to your ported intake/tb in the coming months.

I have a buncha lines just caped off. I am running stock Ecu and only a few of the solenoids are still working like factory. I just caped the lines and kept the sensor pluged in. No check engine light
