* Comes with everything you need to install.
* Simple installation - Remove and Replace
* Bumper skin - Recommended to be removed BUT, it can stay on during installation process (Note: You should have a 1/4" ratchet and 6" + long extension with a 11/16" deep socket.) Helpful Hint - Attach the socket to extension after you slip it through the mesh. Come in about 45* > to get to nut on T-bolt.
*WHP gains - On par with the market.
* 2.5" Pipe
* 1pc Mandrel bent UIP benefit = Greater laminar flow!
* Hose Techniques - Silicone Nomex blend couplers! Carry a LIFETIME WARRANTY against breaks/tares!

Nisei FTW! I have the aluminum 1 piece matte black UICP already, and am very happy with it. Not only does it look great, it seems to be worth about 10-15 whp! Anyway, how much for the inlet pipe by itself, without the LICP? Also, is there a way that I could get one with the crankcase vent line port on it? I know it sounds strange, and even though it would seemingly have no connection, it messes with your a/f ratios when you get rid of the vaccum on those breather lines. Perhaps I should talk to kevin about this...

Is there any benefit to having the intercooler piping in aluminum rather than the stainless steel? Minus the obvious factor which is weight.

Also how is the quality compared to AMS, ETS, BR, etc...?

If you opt for a UICP and want a BOV flange closer to the throttle body is that an option?

Thanks for the feed back.

Now for some dyno numbers Making affordable pipping kits is a good idea.

I had a Nisei LICP on my IX and I thought it made a nice difference in throttle response. Of course then FJF came along only to tell me that the parts I used were " cheap " ( Megan, Nisei )... ahhh, the block button is a cool thing

Just wish ya'll were answering pms and posts when I actually had the $$ to buy one before I got my tune. Now I have to justify the $$ and a retune. Sigh.

Very nice product,I like the fact that it's like has a stealth look instead of the aluminum or the stainless steel.

1) Outside of the weight, one can argue about thermals but, that would have to be proven first. Now, I'm looking at your next question, and you have ETS listed there. So, as a side note here I would say they offer a Mild Steel version and the advantage there would be Aluminum will never rust! Mild Steel will.
  • Weight as you mentioned
  • If not stainless, then rust factor.
  • With companies listed below, price.

This is how I see Nisei stack up:

2) How does quality compare - I would say ... Nisei Engineering IS BAR NONE THE BEST AT WHAT THEY DO!
  • Evo 8/9 - Take a look at their Mini Battery kits! Price Point vs what you actually get against all 3 of those companies you listed.
  • Evo 8/9 FMIC, again 2 of out the 3 companies, Nisei has proven their performance to be superior! Broke it down with photos and testing.
  • Price point alone, VERY competitive!
  • Evo X - Only company that offers a production "true" 1pc UIP and you can see just based on this thread, what some of the people are saying.
  • Colors options - offer colors that don't exist with those other companies.
  • I've personally seen/held other competitors products "in hand" and when held "side by side" you can see the difference. Nisei All the WAY! Hands Down!

3) BOV is mounted to the LIP which is much closer to the T/B as is but, if you get the Nisei LIP, it brings it right onto the LIP pipe which you will eliminate the long factory rubber hose. Here are some pix:

Stock set up with LONG BOV hose:

Nisei LIP, hose is gone and BOV is mounted to the pipe for better BOV performance, less area to pressurize, cleaner look!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

goofygrin,

Sorry brotha, we didn't have it when you are ready BUT, I don't think you will need a retune. You would have to be running 12.2 a/f under full boost/full load to be concerned about UIP. I don't think you a/f will change all that much.
  • Run it by your tuner and see what changes he's recorded with someone just upgrading the UIP.
  • Confirm what your A/F ratio is under Full Boost/Full Load conditions are.
  • Check in with another tuner you don't use to get a honest 2nd opinion.

We're almost out so, let me know!

I don't have the funds now (well... I mean, I do, but I don't have the approval to spend them lol). I'm not in the 12's under full boost (in the 11's). But since the boost will hold longer, I'm concerned about my injectors... they are already near 100% at WOT in the upper RPM band.
