COBB Tuning is pleased to announce significant updates to the Mitsubishi EVO X AccessPORT firmware and AccessTUNER software. Several enhancements have made it even easier to tune the EVO X across a wider range of modifications and fuels. Torque monitor disabling, improved boost control between shifts and access to cranking enrichment tables that should allow for finer tuning of alternative fuels like E85 all make it into this AccessPORT firmware and AccessTUNER software release.

COBB Tuning has responded to tuner requests to disable checking of the torque and airflow limit tables. The logic that checks to see if torque and airflow are within targets can now be toggled on and off through AccessTUNER software. This will make tuning the EVO X easier and prevent DTC's and limp modes from occurring when measured values are outside of table targets.

The EVO X MR receives upper and lower timing bound tables to better control boost during flat-foot-shifts with the Sport Shift Transmission. Retard tables can now be adjusted for shifting events, eliminating boost spikes between shifts.

Fans of ethanol based fuels will appreciate the new cranking enrichment table. This tables allows control of start-up fuel delivery, enabling the tuner to add the necessary fuel volume required for easy cold starting on ethanol.

Lastly, data monitors have been better aligned between the AccessPORT and AccessTUNER. "Low Det. Weight" and "Inj. Duty Cycle" monitors have been added to the AccessPORT to match AccessTUNER, while several AccessTUNER monitor names have been changed to match their AccessPORT equivalents.

To take advantage of these enhancements, the latest AccessPORT firmware and AccessTUNER software releases are required. Follow these instructions to ensure you have the latest versions:

AccessPORT Firmware: Plug the AccessPORT into your computer using a USB cable and start the AccessPORT Updater software. AccessPORT Updater will automatically download the latest version of the firmware and install it on your AccessPORT. Click HERE to download the latest version of AccessPORT Updater.

AccessTUNER Software: Fill out the AccessTUNER Race Order Form, making sure your email address and AccessPORT serial number are accurate. You will receive an email within 24 hours that contains a link to download AccessTUNER Race. Please be sure to check your spam folder in the event you have not received a download link email within 24 hours.

COBB Tuning is dedicated to meeting the tuning needs of the most demanding EVO X enthusiasts. More exciting news regarding the Mitsubishi EVO X AccessPORT will be announced soon!

Hey Cobb guys... why can't I seem to put the ATR maps I make onto the AP anymore? I did it many times before, but it seems either something has changed.. or i'm forgetting something. It shows up on the AP manager, but when I go to flash it onto the ECU it's not on the AP.

YIPPEE!!!
Now all I need is for it to be vist 64 bit compatable without having to jump through a bunch of hoops!

Do you plan on making any efforts to crack the SST computer, so that the boost limit and shift points can be adjusted?

I installed all of the updates for my AP, including ATR to both my Windows XP 32bit netbook that I use for in car tuning, and my Vista 64 bit desktop. All I have to say is way to go Cobb. I had NO ISSUES with my Vista 64 bit install at all. If every piece of software and driver installed this easy, people would not be *****ing about windows!! Finally I can use my ATR on my 22" monitor! It even let me install the ATR on my desktop without installing the dongle drivers.
