CBRD BB(K)-X for the evo X!!
Well,
I can finally announce that the BB-X for the evo X is in production. It is similar to it's evo 8/9 sibling since it will have a billet blue compressor, but thats where the similarities end.
I have tested 6 variations of turbos on our evo X.. not including the stocker.... and took away a little from each variation to find the best solution for our clients. We tried flow ranges close to stock with Ti turbines, we tried billet high PR big comp wheels, etc etc... and finally arrived at a recipe that we are very happy with. I need to thank Blouch for being patient with me and building me various examples to allow us to work through the testing process.
The evo X turbo is obviously non reverse rotation.... so the wheels differ from the previous generation turbo. We have increased the flow of the EVO-X turbo because we found that going from the 50-57 lbs min range showed a VERY slim loss of spool up.... So the flow rate is at 57 lbs min.
The turbo will be supplied as a new Mitsu CHRA/housing unit with our own proprietary compressor wheel (similar to our 33RB t3 series comp wheel) and turbine/shaft.... Each unit is machined and balanced once assembled by our friends at Blouch Turbo.
We are seeing 26psi by 3990 rpm on our own evo X with stock IC piping, Stock O2 housing, and stock exhaust manifold and inlet pipe. We have also gained 60-65whp over the stock turbo at similar boost levels.
I will have a couple of companies that we work closely with posting their own dyno numbers in the next 2 weeks before we start shipping the turbos so stay tuned.
retail price is 1765.00 with an upgraded actuator.

Just a note,
we will also be releasing our own intercooler, piping kit, and tial vband housing turbo kit before the spring
so for those of you that want to get away from the stock housing turbo, we will have a solution... and as always a little different than everything else out there
