CBRD BBK TURBO Available Now!!

well,

the time has finally come, for us to officially release our BBK (Billet Blue Kompressor) Turbo Upgrade for the evo 8/9.

Utilizing the Stock EVO IX turbo housing with larger internals creates a stealthy but potent turbo upgrade.

Originally developed because of the demand of our walk-in clients asking for a stock housing street/road race turbo that is readily available. The BBK is a fantastic upgrade for those running pump gas in the 22-29psi boost range.

This turbo was developed with our technical partners at Blouch Turbo (who also produce many of our hybrid t3 and t4 turbos, and subaru turbos) but is available exclusively through CBRD.

With less boost taper than a stock IX turbo and more flow, both combinations deliver a significant punch for any street/track car.

The BBK is offered in a LITE version which is a compressor upgrade only. Utilizing a lightweight aerodynamic Billet 47lbs min compressor wheel, this turbo spools incredibly quick making it a fantastic auto-x and street turbo. It has produced 400+whp on our dyno with the right supporting mods. The boost response between gears is actually quicker than stock. I would generally expect an EVO IX with basic bolt-ons (intake, fmic, cams, turboback) on 93 octane to produce around 365-375whp on our mustang dyno at 25psi with this turbo. (stock evo IX baselines at 225-230).

The BBK Full is a compressor and turbine upgrade that allows for a little more room in the hp/tq department and has shown to be a 15-25whp and 15-25 wtq gain over the LITE version.

The turbo is available brand new using brand new mitsu evo IX turbos, or utilizing your existing evo IX turbo.

Here are some pics...

please take the time to read this link for various information on the development of the turbo.

We are excited to offer yet another quality part to the EVO community, right in line with our radiators and so on.

PM me for order information.

Here is the official pricing and delivery time:

Full BBK with new IX Turbo $1650.00 shipped in the US (first 30 days, then shipping wont be included) lead time to ship 3 days from order date.

Full BBK Lite with new IX Turbo $1250.00 plus shipping in the US. lead time 3 daysto ship from order date.

USED Turbo modding goes like this... send yours in, its disassembled, appropriate parts are examined and replaced... then machining takes place... you will get YOUR turbo back, not someone elses. If there is excessive wear or damage to the core, we will discuss alternatives before further work is completed.

CORE Upgrade Full Version is 1250.00 plus shipping. 5-7 days to ship from when your turbo is received.

CORE Upgrade BBK Lite is 795.00 plus shipping. 3 days to ship from when your turbo is received.

Cheers!!

CB

its spools maybe 200 rpm later than the LITE!!

the LITE is AMAZING when you shift... its like you turned the power off for a millisecond then flipped it back on!

sounds great Chad!! this may be my next turbo upgrade..have you tried it with Ti/AL internals as well?? people cant believe how quick my turbo spools...hehehhe

since most of the people have a 10.5 housing(mine is ported and coated) and are looking into getting the FULL version, is there a modified price for people that will just keep their 10.5 and save a few bucks?? how about the WGA as well??

you dont make sense..?? THIS IS BASED OFF OF THE EVO 9 TURBO HOUSING...

the NON lite version is a FULL version if that is what your asking.

there are only TWO versions. a LITE which is just a NEW CBRD compressor wheel.
the FULL is a NEW CBRD compressor wheel and turbine wheel.

if you send in your EVO 9 TURBO...

USED Turbo modding goes like this... send yours in, its disassembled, appropriate parts are examined and replaced... then machining takes place... you will get YOUR turbo back, not someone elses. CORE Upgrade Full Version is 1250.00 plus shipping. 5-7 days to ship from when your turbo is received.

CORE Upgrade BBK Lite is 695.00 plus shipping. 3 days to ship from when your turbo is received.

no and no..

search the threads about the development on this turbo as there is alot of testing done...

to sum it up...this turbo will spool quicker and have a better power curve than the red or the green. the red will flow 61lbs/min versus the CBRD BBK which states above that it flows 47lb/min. shift recovery is better throughout with the BBK turbo versus the others. meaning LITTLE LAG BETWEEN SHIFTING so you make your power sooner....spool man, spool.....

What would be the cost of Porting and Coating the Turbine Housing for both versions? Trying to save down time and shipping by having everything done at once. I'm thinking a Lite with a Turbine Housing Port and Coat, this would be with my IX Turbo sent in.
