Nope! It's just the opposite on the X. Since this vehicle has dual Mivec it flows a ton of air down low and the larger intercooler helps with the overall flow of the intercooler system. The stock intercooler is actually to small for the OEM turbo at elevated boost pressures.

So the only advantage to a smaller ETS core is minor cost savings (3.5" vs 4")?
