Hint hint, friction modyfier's must not be containned in an oil for propper break in, and oils not specified for breaking in an engine do contain friction modifiers, some more some less.
So what friction modifiers are, they help reduce friction between moving parts, in this case we care about the ring sealing against the cylinders. During the break in period of an engine we want some friction to help "polish that metal" so rings and cylinders seal.
This is one of the big issues why some cars still smoke after engine was built, among other issues like loose tolerances.
