Each pump has its own +12 and ground coming out of the tank so you can power up the 2nd pump with a Hobbs or the like. The harness can be ordered with a Hobbs 1-2psi switch (the nice ones with the sealed connector) that will be wired up to start up the 2nd pump. You just have to plumb it in and mount it to something under the hood.

i have a question. it might be hard to explain. but here it gos

is it possible to make a fuel cell and use this fuel pump setup? i have been toying with the idea of using the aeromotive 15 gallon fuel cell.

why the 15 gallon? because it is going in a street car and the 15 gallon cell is lighter then the stock 14 gallon tank. and that is what i am after. IMO it is a win win. lighter then stock yet 1 more gallon of fuel when needed. these come with aeromotive pumps inside BUT what stops me from buying it is i wont be able to monitor fuel level. the factory fuel gauge will read empty all the time. also the A1000 pump i read is garbage.

so my question is could you guys build a fuel cell and use this double pump hanger and have it work properly????

here is a pic of the inside and outside of there fuel cell

We aren't set up for sheet metal fab, so building the cell ourselves isn't going to happen for a while. We actually make an in-tank unit for a couple other shops that make their own cells for various cars and trucks. We use a common/cheap GM level sender (33-240 ohms or 0-90), bucket from a GM truck (it's huge), and a couple fat-bottom Walbro pumps.

The stock evo setup is pretty short, and you would need to machine a ring to bolt it to so the gasket seals up. Otherwise we probably make something already.

The harnesses are available to purchase. The plumbing kits are done as well but I am out of gas today so they will be up on our website late Thursday. Here's a photo of the harness. The bracket for the circuit breakers is meant to mount under the hood on one of the stock battery box bolts, or you can drill your own holes and mount it anywhere around there.

Questions?

Got my pumps Christmas Eve. Fast shipping from Andy and great packaging. Already assembled on top of that. All I have to do is wire them in.

If you are in the market for a double pumper this should be #1 on your list. After holding it in my hands I can say this has no competition.

Andy I know your a busy man, never got that email on fittings and relays. No rush just send me the quote when you get the time, just didn't want you to forget about me

Aren't 044s external pumps? Is there something wrong with the available in-tank pumps? The Walbro 255HP is not E85 certified, but its been shown to be quite reliable in E85. In addition, the DW301 is certified by DW to be E85 compatible.

I will say that I looked into the 044's in-tank version (046 iirc? I can't remember the model) and for most cars it's just too much of a hassle because it's so much longer than the others.
