Results from using AMSOIL powertrain OILs

It has been some time since I myself posted feedback from one of my own cars or my customers cars. This time around I want to take the time to write something up on Pete's Evo IX from using AMSOIL powertrain oils.

So Pete came to us back in 2008 wondering about which oils should he use in his Evo IX, I had met Pete at a long weekend event in Orlando where we hung out a whole day until 5am in the morning working on his car getting it ready for a Saturday dyno day and a Sunday track day.
Naturally I myself would had Pete run the same fluids I ran in my personal GG Evo IX, MTG for the tranny and Severgear for the tcase and rear diff. Another fluid I would have had him run is redline as a 2nd option,, I did not have good results with Diaqueen, plus I don't like mineral oils I like Synthetics and AMSOIL being a Syn was a natural option.

Here is the bottom line, Pete has been running the AMSOIL tranny fluid year after year, street driven short and long trips, but most important he has been racing the car down the track for years since I can remember at power levels that take him dow the track faster than the average car. YES he has built his tranny in the process to refresh it up and to replace some parts.

He also uses the Severegear 75W90 in the Tcase and rear diff which many other Evo's have been using since I brought it into this community back in 07. There are some bragging rights to claim with this Evo of Pete's,,, the Tcase and Rear Diff has never failed.

Pete runs his car hard ever since he purchased it, he shifts quick and hard. This video below shows his driving habits.

This one is for the GTR guys, the GTR presented here is a Sweitzer Performance P900Nissan GTR racing Pete in his Evo IX (track of course)
I still respect Tim and the team at Sweitzer

There are no results, there never are.

It's a car going down the track. Basically another useless plug. No worries I've seen the same BS for the past 20 years and will far into the future I'm sure.

There are no lab results the results are what they are going down the track power shifting at the power level he has.

The point of this thread is not to say that this particular oil did better than all others. .. we could have been using redline and not had any issues... this is to point out that AMSOIL also gets the job done reliably for long periods of time.

But I will take you up on the oil analysis that is a simple test.. this thread will have the data in the future. This will please both crowd's the one who wants oil analysis and the one who cares about the car holding up down the track while using the product.

Clicked in for some real results, still nothing, clicked out

How about opening up a trans or TC that used this fluid it's entire life. Again something we'll never see

Not taking anything apart yet, there may be a customer of ours who may have a tranny or diff open that we can look at. were not competing for who has the less wear when using X fluid the goal is so folks realize they have another alternative fluid that is getting the job done.

Next step will be a quick look at the oil.
