Tom do you recommend one over the other? I've been reading reviews of the acl bearings having more variation in the bearing clearances. Have you experienced this in your builds?

Whatever works we will use. King seems like a quality bearing, so I have no problem building with those bearings.
99% engines I build with ACL Tri metal. I've not seen much variance from ACL bearings no. Maybe .0002-.0003" every now and then, and that can be due to the temperature of the room I'm assembling in also. Although we try to keep it 70F at all times.
Every engine is unique in itself, thats why measuring is important for each engine to assure its 100% in spec. Some engines don't need a line hone after arp mains, some do. Its important to measure always!

Hi Sean. Sorry we no longer offer the Manley forged crank anymore due to we have seen a failure from one of our customers. The journal cracked clean in half while the rest of the engine was intact. Thankfully this customer shut his engine off right away and it will be rebuilt by us with a better crank.
Other shops warned us about the Manley forged crank also, but I had to see it for myself before I completely eliminated the product from our engine program.
For forged cranks we will only use Eagle or OEM.
We can do a 2.3 with a Mitsubishi crank if that's what you would like yes.
The pricing has changed now due to every year brands mark the prices up, so our price change as well.

arp rod and main fasteners
wiseco HD 9:1 2.3 stroker pistons
OEM 2.4 Crank (Used - ~$200?)

No point in ARP main studs if you're only going to run h beam rods and an fp red. There are 800whp cars on stock main bolts still. ARP 2000 rod bolts for sure though.
We can use whatever hardware you want though. As for the OEM 100mm crank, you will need to supply it, and chances are we will need to polish it.

I have some other pics to share ill dig up later, but I wanted to put in here the 1G 6 bolt we built for Scott's car has over 60 passes and went a best of 9.6 @ 146 so far with much more in it.
