just got dynoflashed!

so Al came down here to socal for his trip and i decided to get flashed. the flash took about 10-15 minutes, not to long. after i got in the car and started it up, it sounded pretty normal. so i couldnt wait to test it out. got out on the road and noticed how smooth the car became. most people would notice the power difference, but i felt smoothness. after i get used to how smooth it was, i noticed how much harder the turbo kicked, esp in the higher rpms. overall i do believe it was worth my 175, i also think i have better gas milage =P

good job al! he's a good guy!

I guess when you get the soon to come parts you listed, you can get it flashed again, and again, and...... well I am glad it feels good, On my first evo i had it flashed from vishnu and it felt much smoother and was stronger just like you described then I add more parts and then I said this bs and got a way to tune the car the vishnu xede.

yea i'll eventually get some sort of computer management one day, but as of now, with the mods i have the flash will suffice. i mean i dont think there be gains that serious if i were to have some massive management system on my car. i feel the gains would not be worth the price at the moment.

Very true, sirloin. How can you beat $175 for such great gains and improved smoothness all around? A Xede would cost you around $1000 plus the additional tools you need to properly tune your own car. It will be a while before you spend that much on your Dynoflashes, and you are relying on someone else's expertise, instead of hoping you can figure it out yourself. Yeah, getting some sort of EMS later down the road is much more practical, but a base flash now was perfect...

Yes, Evocanival, it comes with every Dynoflash. I put up a vid showing me using it last year, but last week was the first time I got to use it at the track. It was too powerful with my torque for me to launch well without spinning all 4 snow tires, so I haven't made good use of it yet. Next time to the track, I'll have stickier 255s and see what happens.

175 bucks for a flash that's a pretty good deal.

That's in person without shipping charges, so it's pretty good for people in the vicinity of the trip. This weekend is LA...

Got the Dynoflash beginning of the year.....still loving it today. Can't beat the price for the mod.

You can't go wrong with better drivability, more power, and from what I noticed (under normal driving ) better gas mileage for the price.

Now you used a safc to get your 12.0 not a flash correct. However now that you are working with/for dynoflash that is a superior method then getting a safc that you used to out perform any dynoflashed car with similar mods. Knowing your posts you would even help someone learn to tune their own safc. On a side note those stickier 255's make sure they are warm before you launch or you'll spin even more then your mud and snow's

It is far superior to the SAFC. I ran the 12.01 on race gas, which is where the SAFC is fine, but it was nowhere near as good for daily driving plus it didn't have any of the features, and the flash is STILL cheaper than doing an SAFC setup. I only used it, because I didn't have to buy it - it was left over from my old DSMs.

No, the 255s won't spin more than my Blizzaks. Thanks for the tip, though.

hey warr, not sure if you noticed this, but after my flash, it was ALOT easier to shift into second. any reasons for this?
