going to Vishnu this coming Saturday for a custom tune. Let you guys know the numbers afterwards. Only mods are Helix 3" dp, Perrin 3" tp, Helix 3" exhaust, and WORKS drop in filter. Wish me luck. Hope I break 300awhp/tq on Shiv's dyno.

a month or so later I'm planning on picking up a Megan o2 housing, Maxford header, LICP, and then going back in for a retune and see how it goes.

Ahh my bad man. I was thinking your IX was stock (don't know why). hahaha. Nice numbers though man. I guess my numbers are solid then. I was using yours as a basline and thinking your Evo was stock and dynoing at 261 whp, that the dyno read high...guess I was wrong though. hahaha. Hope we get a bigger turnout next time...

I think stock evo ix's dyno around 235-245ish maybe? - on a dynojet. (sum1 correct me if im wrong). I'm shooting for 360whp

Not hard at all w/a few bolt-ons.

I got the exterior done for the most part, time to get that performance up there
I could see 360whp outta your setup. Sounds very doable. Personally I would have gone with a 280 exhaust cam though.

No prob... yeah I'm not sure what to think about that dyno... Paul was mentioning that stock Sti's would pull around 220 or so, which to me is about right. He also mentioned that he has customers that visit Gruppe-s's and EIP's dynos and they are all within 5-10hp from his dyno as well. Sooooo, it seems like it may read slightly higher at dbtuned, or for some reason everyone was pulling higher that day??

Assuming if I was stock, I'd pull 230-240 and with catback + dp. I'm at 261... which seems a bit high. I was expecting to pull around 240-250. Even if it was reading higher, its not by much. So I would say their dyno was pretty accurate. These numbers are uncorrected and he disconnected the weather station.

We can take care of you Silver9, next time you are in Miami we can get with Andre and set up an Ecutek reflash on their Dynojet. We had great results 2 weeks ago when we custom tuned about 10 Evos there.

Maybe your low (even though its not technically low) dynos have something to do with it being close to 80 degrees. Dont forget, most of the dynos of the IXs making that crazy power I saw was in March/April. Its gotten very warm recently especially here in NJ where you got tuned.

BTW, you gained over 35whp from the tune and you can hardly feel it? WTF is that?

yea, i dunno, i just didn't feel it, maybe because the tq isn't crazy? maybe the dyno read really high? i don't know, but i know its quick, because i've ran a few other modded evo's as well as a 2005 nsx at the track, its quick, but i need more!!! where are the damn intake cams for the ix!

my 800 mile Evo IX RS was recently tuned as well (via ECUFLash)...

with TBE and no tune...made only 211whp on Mustang Dyno! /cry

After tuning TBE with MBC...290whp!

This is on 91 oct crapola Cali gas...and can readily tell the difference.

My IX pulled 250/249 on a Mustang Dyno up here in WA. Pretty decent for a completely stock IX.

I just had an Injen intake, IC piping, BR turbo back exhaust, and eBay O2 housing installed yesterday, and I have a follow-up dyno scheduled soon. I also have an EFlash on the way from DynoFlash.

I'll be interested to see the numbers!

Big pictures... making them links instead.

What are you complaining about?????? I probably have the honor of being the least most powerful IX w/ my mod combination in the country (I hope not, but I'm pretty damn close). With TBE w/ Test Pipe, Filter, MBC@23PSI, and Tune I put down 306WHP/292WTQ on a Dyno Jet and 91 Octane (temps high 70s). It's funny now, but boy was I disappointed. Seriously I expected the worse though because I am just cursed with horrible luck. I'm gonna get a fuel pump and re-tune, so I guess I'll see, but wow, I'd take your 322whp anyday. Now if your really want to see funny you got to check out my time slips, now that's funny . It's cool, I still love my EVO!!!

Dude your numbers are awful... did you do a boost leak test and compression test to make sure everything is OK?
