Perrin Testpipe/ LogicPerformance Review

I ordered a Perrin Test Pipe from LogicPerformance.com not too long ago. Took a couple days to process and ship out. Shortly, I recieved a tracking number for it. After about a week or so, I recieve a package and inside was only an O2 Simulator with NO testpipe. So I contact Logic Performance again and the same day I have another package 2 day mailed to me with. 2 days later, I recieve my testpipe and all is good. The install was easy except for getting the actual o2 sensor out of the cat, took some muscle to get it out. After taking everything off, I realized that the testpipe did not come with any gaskets as I glance over at my mangled up stock gaskets (crappy stamped metal ones). I figure "oh well" and put everything back on with my Helix catback and Helix downpipe. I took the little plug out of the testpipe and plugged my o2 sensor in there then turned the car on. Everything was fine, no leaks. The 2 days later, I drive the car and notice a hissing/sandy noise from very low revs coming from under my car. I get out of my car and listen... I have an exhaust leak. I jack the car up and try to tighten all the bolts again to make sure I have everything on tight, everything is. Turn the car back on and the leak is still there... sigh. I PM'd LogicPerformance AGAIN about new gaskets since after the first mix up with only the o2 sim coming, I asked them to make sure it would come with new gaskets and they said it would. Either way, Logic Performance's customer service is top notch. I just wish I had my new gaskets...? Do you guys think the leak is because I used the old crappy gaskets? I'm starting to wonder if it's coming from the o2 sensor I put in the testpipe, but I cranked it on pretty tight...

The car is quite noticably louder now with much more top end pep from 4k-6k. I've noticed my exhaust sounds quite a bit more "fartier" now, but my car feels nicer after the testpipe. It was a very nicely made piece. I wonder if the exhaust leak is causing my car to sound a little fartier or what, but oh well.

Good to hear about the "feel" of the car and sucks about the leak. I am waiting to get back home from Korea and replace my Helix High Flow with the Perrin test pipe. I hope I do not run into the same issues. Good luck in fixing your problem.

I may be dumb or something, but I JUST realized.... why in the world am I using stock gaskets on a 3" downpipe/exhaust?!? lol. Anyone know where I can get some 3" ones that'll fit both ends of my testpipe?
